I may be teaching you all to suck eggs, but we had a close shave on Saturday night when I caught the flex of our single bulb lamp which pulled it towards the roof without me knowing. After a couple of minutes April could smell scorching and the bulb had come into contact with the roof. The roof had scorched and melted slightly which I have now repaired. Just shows how easily a disaster can strike if we are not ever vigilant. Watch those bulbs people.

Re: Possible fire risk
Even an energy saving bulb doesnt run at the heat of a standard bulb.
maybe stop using a normal bulb and become energy efficient too

Can't remember, do you have a fault with fitted electrics or just no electrics at all ?
If you reply you may want to start a new topic so we don't go "Off Topic" here.
