Our Dandy Destiny Empty Our Dandy Destiny

Post by Endecay Wed 11 Apr 2012, 3:56 pm

Well - we put the Destiny up yesterday while the kids were still in nursery. They were very excited to see it when we picked them up and came home.

Today has been spent sewing (Mrs Endecay) and putting up the awning (1st practice). Bloomin' heck they're hard work! Especially when there is an annex. Presstuds, random ties, 'pockets' that no longer exist... Guesswork.

We have taken several pics including the recovered seating stuff and a few things for your considered opinions. I don't yet know how to put piccies on so if someone can let me know then Kevin's desire to see the "unique" annex awning can be sated.

    Cheers

Thought i would post this as a step by step guide

this is the way i do it.

Across the top of the reply box you will see a row of icons
run your curser across until it displays host an image
click that and a box should open saying upload image
    click browse
find the picture on your computer
    double click the picture
it should then show the url next to browse
    click host it
you will then have 3 boxes
    thumbnail ignore this
image this is the one you want
    image url ignore this one
click the image one it should turn blue
then right click it and select copy
then paste this in your post
at the bottom of the box is upload click this
when the box changes back to the first box you can click the host an image icon again and it will close the box,or you can go through the process again to upload more images
if you want to click preview it will show your post with images
    then click send.

Sitting on the driveway wall admiring the awning on the unit and thinking about cups of tea...

Wifely handiwork showing the before and after of her new seat covers...

    And the completed seat/mattressy bits:

Mrs Endecay says she will NOT be taking orders!

Now the question. We have 'worked out' that this is the inner cover. Are we right? If not what is it?

I'm sure we'll add pics of us enjoying a holiday soon enough.

Yes - a significant achievement. Not sure we'll use it that often for short trips. Too much work!

You'll need a longer holiday to recover from putting it up. lol!

You could get a utility tent for shorter trips if needed. I guess you've seen the new thread about them.

    Your second photo.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The taller flap that you have attached to the front wall. That's it the one without the pole in it.

The flap goes under the roof and is attached to the pegs on the bed side board.
The same with the corresponding flap on the other side (LHS of awning) though the flap on the other side rather than being corresponding may well be a different shape as your awning is asymmetric.
    Sure you understood all that.

    That awning is a barn.
Well should we all meet up you know who wins the draw to be appointed party central.
You could do the decent thing and price up the cost of a sprung floor for the dancing!

Thanks for the advice. We didn't know that about the flaps. Told you it was guesswork.

As for party central - I do have a laptop and karaoke programme and real discs so wuite possible. However, two sleeping toddlers within the unit may put paid to any night-owl ideas.

found to put the poles up easier for the awning I have colour coded the poles ends with paint red yellow blue green so when laid out I know which goes into which flower
