flappy bit with studs on
This is where the sides of the awning attach to to make the awning parts of the dandy

Re: " MATER" the Orange Dandy 6
thanks i thought it might have been, probably better fix than the later awnings which rely on bungees.

Does that mean our Discovery is draughty?

As draughty as our designer
It means that it was a better way to fit an awning to a dandy

We are fitting the Discovery's awning tomorrow as a trail run. The green one fits with the press studs, it's simple to fit and is indeed drought proof. We will be able to compare the two types after tomorrow.

Our awning
We just came in from having a go a putting our awning up.
1st time we put it on backwards, 2nd time we put up inside out
3rd time got it right. We stood back to admire it and realised
the whole thing looks like a giant satsuma...

Re: " MATER" the Orange Dandy 6
you managed it in the end though and you'll be able to pick out your dandy on a busy campsite with ease

We seemed to have 2 sets of poles so we have a load of spare ones.
Certainly was a challenge we did find it hard going throwing over the awning, maybe theres an easier way

Re: " MATER" the Orange Dandy 6
we fold ours as we take it off so when it goes back on we just kind of roll it back from the front poles.

We going to Mablethorpe in ours this weekend to try it out.
I'm taking my drill, pop rivets and a hammer. I know how to live LOL
