Do you have a name for your Dandy? If yes, what is it? Is it male or female?

Ben and I generally call ours The Beast when referring to it, but as we love it so much we feel like it needs a proper name. Ben feels it is male whilst i think its female.....what do you guys think and how did you decide?

All ours vehicles also have names, the green one is called Milo because he is going to miles and miles with us, before we had him he had not been out on the road for a few years, but used as a guest bedroom in the garden or stored in the garage.

The brown one is called Monty because it suits him and he is Mollys boyfriend. Molly is our campervan for those who don't know.

Could you not find a name that is similar to the beast, that sounds nicer. lol!

Ours is called Minnie. All my cars have had names so it seemed to make sense that our Dandy did as well. Trying to be clever I decided to call her Minnie the Minx after the character in The Dandy! It was only a couple of weeks later that I remembered that Minnie the Minx is in The Beano not The Dandy but by then it was to late as the name had already stuck so Minnie she stayed.

Ours is called Sid because when we took it over there was a Mc Donalds toy left in it called that name from the Ice Age film and as it is blue and white it has to be a boys name for us, lol. Very Happy Sid has been naughty this week with his hitch lock.....bad Sid! Mad

Following a democratic vote, we have settled on the name Delilah (or Dee for short) for our Dandy.

This takes into consideration the usability of the song of the same name by Sir Tom/Plain White T's together with the enjoy-ability of speaking the two D's together - Delilah Dandy.

I'm sure she will appreciate moving on from being called 'the beast'

Hadn't realised you had referred to the song in naming Delilah. Been of tender years though you may not be aware of the most memorable version of the song. I could say so many things about the quality of popular music or the quality of music on TV in particular but why lessen the obvious with my third rate prose expressing my second rate thoughts. Just soak this experience up and view your very own Delilah in a new light.

I got mine from here and it's been stuck on the awning for a couple of years now ........ you can change the writing to what you want and colour match it to your Dandy so I had pale blue and changed the wording to DANDY ON TOUR
I just chopped the year off the bottom of the graphics before applying it to the awning. Very Happy

Under £4.50 including P&P? I saw that on your awning and it did look very suave.

I thought you had it done individually and paid some silly amount of money for that.

You would need to add another door first.

I believe that sign would be more suitable hung at the tradesmen's entrance.
