    I believe it would be ash wood frame did you spot the dandy in the back ground ?

    I clicked the first one and then kept using next so i guess so, just never noticed the dandy first time.

    they build Morgan chassis with Ash so ideal wood for frame building

    Sorry not returned any input into this yet.

    Just got home from popping to shop. Well 30 mins ago forgot main thing I went for and forgot to go other way home to photograph a coachbuilt Commer camper that I would have seen on that route.

    Cool yep got glasses on and yep see the Dandy "along side " I meant did they make these first then changed to make  trailer tents or make them at the same time .
    still awesome though
    are you doing as original or modernising her still can't wait for the finished pictures  bounce bounce

    I don't think I will ever be able to afford to rebuild him myself. But he will be solid & water tight & made reliable so he can continue to be used,He has had a six speed gearbox conversion since I last posted too. He was first registered in 1971/72 I am sure trailer tents came first,they made few motor homes & even fewer on a commer chassis.

    Ian's site suggests he made the commer chassis motorhomes before the trailer tents. But that is not necessarily correct as Ian didn't work there then and was probably only a baby or not much older at the time. He joined in 1976 it says.

    I was pretty sure there are trailer campers older than mine,would be nice to find some more on van chassis too
