Toilet Tent Empty Toilet Tent

Post by fearful wizard on Sun 10 Mar 2013, 11:28 am

Has anyone put a toilet tent inside a dandy awning?
I like mr itch's idea of putting a curtain across part of the awning for the loo.
But my wife says could i put one of these inside it wold be more private.
No guy lines to worry about, just the height might be a problem.
Doesnt appear to have pegging down holes, probabley be as good as a chocolate teapot outside. lol! Pete

Toilet Tent Empty Re: Toilet Tent

I got myself a tent just like that to use in the awning but I haven't used it as I was worried about what would happen if when using you bumped the side of the tent wall affraid They are flimsy, we put it up inside our house to take a look at it and although I'm pretty good with pop up tents this was terrible to get back into it's bag too.

I now use a seperation curtain and have had no issue's plus we use it as a dressing area too.

Hi helen yep i like the idea of your tab curtain, and i have looked around lincoln and on the net but could not find anything suitable.
Perhaps you can point me in the right direction.
I did think you might be able to get a tab shower curtain.
Maureen has not been camping before and she likes the idea of the pop up toilet tent, i did think it looked a bit flimsy and thats why i asked on the forum.
We have 2 weeks booked from the first of june, so trying to get sorted by then.
I want it to be a good experience for her. Pete Smile

Hi Pete, I got my 66 x 72 tab top curtains from ebay, lots of choice of colour too ...... if you want though you could also use a shower curtain if you find one long enough, the cheap ones tend to have oval shaped plastic hook things that would work fine too, we did use one as a privacy curtain inside the dandy once.

Toilet Tent Empty Moderators help

Shower curtains have the advantages of being easy clean and not marked or affected by damp. A bit blow away though. If your lass has definite modesty issues and might use the loo with the awning partially unzipped either heavier curtains or short lengths of bath chain stitched to the bottom of the shower curtain are the way to go.

I managed to get tab top curtains that are lined, okay have to wash them but I can live with that Very Happy Kevins right ...... some curtains are flimsy so make sure you get lined or weights for the bottom.
