Thought it was time to bring this one up again please put any tips on this thread

Remove wheels or move on a regular basis to avoid flat spots on the tyres
Have the dandy low at the draw bar end for water to run off without it going on the door bottom
Put a foot ball under the cover to stop rain sitting on the top
If the transit cover is old put a cheap tarp under it in case it leaks over winter
Dont leave any food in it to attract vermin
Dont leave any thing dangling down on the out side for mice to climb up,they can get anywhere but a flat upright surface is harder to climb than a dangling string.

If we were putting ours away for winter (which were not this year) we would pop it on our Jack stands as we did end up with a very flat tyre the other year and didn't have the space inside the garage to get to it so the tyre was a right off as we had to tow the Dandy out.

ours is kept on axle stands all year round and under a winter cover as it protects not just from cold but also birds poo and UV Rays.

Ours also has to be kept out side. Our very leaky original cover has a large waterproof sheet type thing over it, (well a swing hammock cover with a broken zip, saved from the bin).

Another mouse prevention tip is to block up the water in and drain holes. I know mice are good at jumping, I've seen them do it. Evil or Very Mad

Do you leave curtains, cushions, and anything else in the Dandy when stored for winter?

We do, because we don't have anywhere else to store them, also we use the Dandy in the winter so it's checked and aired regularly.

We do too, some people take them out but we haven't had any problems leaving them in. Very Happy It's a lot of cushions to store and we don't have the space.
