Something else to put in my Dandy Laughing
I do have a mini oven but its really small and doesnt warrant the space it takes up as you can only fit a bit in it. I dont want a full roast but something that will hold more than 2 pies. bounce

If you use ehu treat yourself to a combination microwave they are brilliant for heating up or cooking pies, chicken wings or even doing a roast chicken on the oven and micro combi.

I wouldn't be without mine and it was only £33 in the sale, and its defo worth the space it takes up.

Keep your eye on argos they put them on sale now and again my friend got one a couple of months ago so they may be due to go on sale again soon.

Just check the wattage the problem with microwaves is if they are advertised as a 900watt the may consume more but that info should be on the back ie 900watt on the label may say 240volt 1100 watt or similar on the back.

Next time i see them on offer again i will let you know.

We have never had a problem with ours in over 3 years of camping with it (touch wood,) obviously you can't have the kettle on at the same time, but you can't have the kettle on with the heater, but you can have the heater on with the micro, its usually the kettle for us that is the culprit cos the kettle is 2 kw which is 2000w and the our combi micro is only 800w.

We did start off with just a normal microwave but once i saw this on offer i got it and i would defo recommend it, then again i do like my chicken wings for supper when i'm camping. pig

Thats the beauty of the combi, you can have just the microwave on or just the oven on or just the grill on or a combination of oven and grill or oven and microwave.

I've never tried to cook pastry from scratch in one but they cook hollands pies nicely.

we bought a small 15l oven with built in fan and grill from Lidl for £25 and its tiny but its great we have used it once, but we will probably use it during winter months as its the BBQ or takeaways in the summer, there is only so much we can fit in a 3dr Mitsubishi colt.

Well spotted Eilis,

I was just going to post about them and you have beat me to it.

Helen, the first one is like mine but a bit more modern (mine is a good few years old,) but the second one would be better for camping as the power output for the grill and the convection oven is 1000 were as the first one is 1200 so the second one is less likely to pop the ehu and it is only £5 more.

lol!

ooh i hadn't looked that closely so well done for spotting that, i would have gone for the cheaper option and popped the ehu all the time lol
