Very neat John, that's on our jobs to do list too. It saves having to push the water pipe up through the pvc, we have done that for years now but saw Laura's Dandy has one of these and want one ourselves it's a better option. Finding time to do even the smaller jobs is proving difficult but it looks like a simple job that won't take long at all.

And where on earth would you actually HAVE a shower? Use a utility tent with holes in the floor?

You can buy a shower tent, it's a bit like a loo tent

John,
Forgive me for seeming a bit dim. I very much like the idea of plugging in the water supply as you have done and it would do away with the problem I have of the water tube not being quite long enough to feed through and into the top of the fresh water container, but what is your arrangement for inside the Dandy? Do you have the tube to the tap permanently connected or do you disconnect it when the sink unit is lifted onto the floor. We used to have a similar arrangement on our old Destiny but I can't for the life of me remember what happened inside.

It will fixed at both ends one to the tap and one to the inlet, with enough slack to facilitate lifting the box on and off, any excess can be pushed back into the locker when in use

More hot water options:

So if you saw the Zodi Fire Coil water heater then see it uprated to:

It seems to be the order of the day to buy a product in this country and one is sent to Africa as with the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] which is no more useful than a [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] but does involve participation by Unilever in the scheme.
Promoting a couple of local firms to produce flat coils of microbore copper pipe would have been more positive for the local economy than mailing these from the UK.

Anyone heading out to the shed with a bit of central heating pipe?

Might be ideal for Wingnut and rough camping.

John
with your uprated suspension units, raised trailer height, hitch stabiliser, alloys, water inlet and project corner steadies you make me sick Wink

I wonder if all your modifications would work on a 2005 Designer,it might be worth you giving it ago well just to make sure the mods work across the range,oh and by the way i know of a Designer you could use as the guinea pig.

an en-suite for Pat after all the wine, would that be something to do with the bench seat by any chance. We considered doing something like that with one of the chairs in ours.
