Barn Owls Nesting Empty Barn Owls Nesting

Post by Phoenix on Tue 24 Apr 2012, 10:44 pm

We thought this might be of interest to some of you, especially Naedoot's daughter Gemma. This is a link to a live feed from some Barn Owls nesting. Where they are isn't that far from where we are. They just so happened to be named Mr & Mrs P. At the moment she is sitting on 4 eggs.

Hope this works. Smile

These owls have me captivated, it's a bit like watching big brother but with better looking and more intelligent contestants.

They were both in there most of the afternoon but one is having a night on the town.

Seriously though they are fascinating and beautiful birds and I'm hooked and will be popping in regularly to check on them Barn Owls Nesting 184121345

Me too, you can watch for ages and nothing happens then hey presto he flies in with supper ........ admit that I did shut my eyes though because it wasn't a maccy D's he brought. What a Face As soon as he had gone again she stood up and you could see the eggs. It's brilliant and thanks for posting the link, got it on my favourites bar now Very Happy

There will probably be a pattern to hunting and feeding time Eilis so try around the same time as we did last night, you may have to watch for quite a while but it's worth it.
