3D photography Empty 3D photography

Post by mike on Fri 06 Jul 2012, 6:12 am

Any one dabble in this,at the moment i create slide shows to play on the tv with my pictures but would like to do it in 3D, cameras are advertised at under £200 and i would need a blu ray burner for the pc but would like to know more of what i would be taking on.

Taken the easy option lol! bought a camera with the 3D function built in tried a couple of shots in between the showers and its looks easy, you just frame your picture press the shutter then move the camera slowly to the right and it takes the second picture itself, then converts it to 3D in the camera. When you down load to the computer you find you have a 3D file and a normal jpeg file which was a bonus.
You can connect the camera to the tv and play a slide show in 3D but now trying to find a program to burn a 3D slide show to disc, think if i opted for the old colored glasses option of doing it there would be no problem.

When it stops raining i will take a couple in Anaglyph format and post them here,if you have a pair of the cinema type red/green glasses or a couple of colored sweet wrappers you should see 3d,its not the format i want to use but its easy to change them over.

This thread has had a few views so thought i would update it this is the camera i have just bought

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Its two cameras joined together and takes stills and video in 3D and 2D its the only one that shows 3D on the back screen without the need for glasses for composing the picture or viewing 3D pictures and video you have taken.
The taken 3D pictures i copy from the computer to a memory stick and plug it into my 3D tv and watch a slide show, cant show the pictures in there proper 3D as no one would see the effect on a 2D computer i have to make a anaglyph copy which can be viewed through red/cyan glasses but that does loose a lot of the 3D detail thats in the original, but will do some.

Thanks for pointing us in the direction of this camera Mike 3D photography 184121345

It's flippin amazing, we've got a lot to learn yet. You can see the 3D on the camera without any glasses .... wonder how long before they make Tv's with the same technology.
