Apart from possibly a short notice weekend locally think Christmas will be our next week away, pretty sure of that week as they have a shutdown over Christmas.

god how do you cope ? one week working then next only one day that would drive me mad Grunts - Groans - Moans - Page 20 9639063

We put up with it because we dont want to work 5 days, most of the time we can get 3 or 4 with both of us there you can see the good and bad with it.

Its sounds a bit like being self employed. Either nobody is ready or they are all ready at once!!! Grunts - Groans - Moans - Page 20 9639063 This week every bodies ready. Grunts - Groans - Moans - Page 20 143088812 lol!

Tried the self employed,my first wife and i had a wedding and portrait photography business in the seventies, sat there many times unable to pay bills and at the same time had orders waiting to be collected and paid for worth 5 or 6 times what the bills where,we stuck with it for nearly 10 years and most of the time it was great.

Myself Cazz and one or two others will be looking out for the bargain second hand (Used once) windbreak. I don't see the green one staying long.
Mind you green goes with brown as well.

It wasn't exactly a bargain at just under £40 each so it's being returned with a promise of a refund for the green one and a partial refund on the blue for the cost of returning and for inconvenience caused which is pretty fair Smile It just annoys me that when you order it says 'in stock' and it isn't really because they only had one blue one and my order was for 2 so it should have said 'sorry out of stock' at which point I would have looked elsewhere. I already have one blue windbreak but it's a bit tired with a couple of ground spikes missing and a couple of rust stains on the window bit ........ it'll do for a while longer yet and it will mean the new blue one will turn out to be a bargain after all. Very Happy

Getting out of a dandy without a step can be very painful

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The ground under the breathing groundsheet was a bit lumpy and my foot rolled over as I put my weight on it affraid Grunts - Groans - Moans - Page 20 9639063 affraid
I think it's because you (I) tend to be coming out of the door sideways as it's a bit narrow and put the outside of my foot down first. I've always felt more comfortable with a step but could never work out why Shocked
Sandra always said "we don't need one" but then she is narrower than me What a Face

A step will be in place for the next trip

I seem to have got away with it a bit, the bruising looks even worse but I'm walking around OK and it's not too painful. I'll never play football again but then I never did Shocked

Just opened my laptop up ........ it's been sat in the same place since this morning with no one else going near it and discovered a hairline crack in the screen, it doesn't start near the edge as you might expect but is a couple of inches down and around 4 inches in ?

and yes I am annoyed and wondering why this would happen.

How upsetting sorry to hear that, the only thing that comes to mind is a pressure fracture but would have expected it to start at the edge.

Our computer has lost the will to live, so now i'm relying on my android phone, Smile and we're sharing a rather old lap top.

How do I get my pics and files off the defunked computers harddrive onto our portable one. I have a back up copy of most of them, it's just a few of the latest ones I haven't. Grunts - Groans - Moans - Page 20 143088812

Got my building and contents insurance renewal letter yesterday, it had gone up over £120 affraid no we haven't made a claim, the last being almost 13 years ago. It's gone up year on year but only a bit until now Shocked Phoned them up and hey presto reduced by £110 ...... will I be staying with them

NO I will be shopping around. If they can reduce it by that much at the drop of a hat they are obviously charging too much in the first place.

My poor dad was tinkering over the weekend and picked up his electric planer not realising that the button was jammed in the on position, he pluged it in and affraid affraid affraid took a chunk out of the side of his thumb, it's all jagged so couldn't be stitched and may need a graft. Yesterday morning my brother had an accident, his hand had been caught between two of the forks they manufacture (flt forks) and it's broken in 5 places and may need pinning affraid They say things come in 3's but we're hoping my twisted ankle and bruised shoulder although nothing like as bad will count as the other 1 . Crying or Very sad ok now have decided that sleep is over rated .. also why does things kick off ONLY when your in heavy sleep not in the beginning or when i'm up but only when in a deep sleep ok I will explain after finally getting to bed at 4am and finally shut my eyes at 6am as all settled, all fed and thirsts quenched oh yea sleep dawn chorus in full song as I drift off the land of nod affraid affraid affraid only to be woken up by screams at 8am "SPIDER SPIDER" its fine they are more scared of you than you are of them was my sharing caring reply "SPIDER SPIDER" well don't look at it! i said not wanting to get up as I am so warm and cosy yearning for dream land as I had won the lottery and having great fun spending it Grunts - Groans - Moans - Page 20 3462454224 Grunts - Groans - Moans - Page 20 3462454224 but no he came in my bedroom stating that he has "ARACHNOPHOBIA!" I know but sleep is needed as well yea I know very caring Grunts - Groans - Moans - Page 20 2024858757 so after calming him down in a very drowsy voice he returned to his room then I heard " oh it's gone were it's gone? SCREAM!" affraid spine chilling may I add so I jumped out of bed fell down and got up got into his room with him screaming in his high pitched panic sitting on his bed ..dogs on full alert for intruders jumping all over the place me searching for anything not a spider in sight eventually got him to calm down and tell me what happened " the spider was by the window and ran across the ceiling and jumped on his head" OK ! spiders don't do that they would rather hide in dark places it was more than likely to be a fly hit you on the head and as you saw a spider thought it was it.. Nope not convinced he wasn't having it but was calming down as I now on my hands and knees looking for this damm eight legged thing nope no were in sight well with the dogs and I stomping around on the floor it must of hid for cover if not dead "SPIDER SPIDER" holy sh@# affraid sorry to say the slipper came off and I whacked it! Embarassed put it this way the imprint was as big as my hand made me jump when I saw it so SO SORRY you were right this spider was after you caught it running up the wall charging for him again .. so all quiet on the western front the room debugged and spider stop reapplied also must go and get fresh conkers to place around the room as for sleep! no! try again tonight more than likely early hours oh just to add as I do like to keep you informed just been given a book on " how to make free booze" so dogs and I are going foraging to attempt to brew so volunteers will be sort after in the new year all going well Grunts - Groans - Moans - Page 20 3462454224 Grunts - Groans - Moans - Page 20 3462454224 Grunts - Groans - Moans - Page 20 3462454224 Grunts - Groans - Moans - Page 20 3462454224

What do the conkers do????
I think I have home brewed most everything over the past few decades and they are an acquired taste, luckily you can acquire the taste very quickly for sloe gin, blackberry wine, mead is a little harder to get right. but my best is my Beer and cider all go down very well after a few glasses of red wine.
