Not using the phone at the moment but found out what the problem was.
Was in Manchester on Tuesday so popped into the Nokia Centre.
If you have a Nokia phone and have any issues with it I can heartily recommend the Nokia Centres, well the Manchester one anyway.
It transpires that I wasn't following the instructions as given, but the first time I connected the phone the computer and phone recognised each other.
This is not to be relied upon and a pre connection routine is required.
Used it for quite a time and the only downside is that the phone isn't charging through the lead. Relatively a minor problem.

    Wheyhey loged on, on phone.
    2.5mbps download 1.5mbps upload.
Not wireless broadband but not bad.
Now to see if I can log off and on again.

That's better than my home wireless broadband. I'm told my max is 1mbps, and I actually get around 720kbps, which is better than last year. Last year it was 500kbps!!!

That could be why a cable connection takes longer to make on mine,i know there is a system but found it sorts itself out eventually

The cable must have slightly dislodged, it does charge.
Using at home I'm now seeing 3.5mbps download 1.5mbps upload.
