Our first weekend away in our Dandy Kermit being towed by our Landy Kevin.  Have managed to paint sides and doors yellow to match Landy and cleaned all PVC.  Great weekend at Newark showground with other Landrovers. In fact our Dandy created quite a lot of interest from other campers and we had a long line of people wanting to have a look around! We made some new friends who were so impressed that they went home and bid on a Dandy on e bay - a bright orange one with awning!!!

Lovely and comfortable and warm overnight and managed to put awning up to check it was ok - which it was.  Have now cleaned awning so next time we go away Kids will sleep in there with internal bedroom tent to give a bit more space in Dandy.  As you may remember we bought the Dandy for £200 and I have spent approx. £30 on paint and cleaning stuff - all curtains and internal decoration has been made with material I already had. Needless to say we are really pleased with it and are planning a week away in Norfolk in summer holidays!

It looks wicked in those colours ........ I love it and you'll never not be able to see your Dandy on a field full of tents  Our first weekend away in "Kermit" 1710857839 Our first weekend away in "Kermit" 1710857839 Our first weekend away in "Kermit" 1710857839

It really is good what you can do to spruce up a Dandy and make it your own  Our first weekend away in "Kermit" 2702329197 looking forward to seeing pics of the awning on and if the kids are going in there to sleep it may be a good idea to use some sort of roof liner for catching any condensation you may get.

Glad you are getting sorted and pleased with it.

Those colours will go down well in Norfolk, not that we follow football but they are the Norwich City Canaries colours.

Where about's are you thinking of coming to in Norfolk?

Just to let you all know that I managed to buy 2 inner tents from Go Outdoors for our teenage kids so that they can have their own space in the awning - full sewn in groundsheet and cost £15 each - bargain!!!

We haven't been to that site, but our neighbours go there in their caravan regularly. In fact they are there now.

Hope you enjoy it there too. bounce bounce bounce

You never know, you might even get visitors if we know when you are there.  Smile
