We would like to come to, but OH needs to see when he is off. With Christmas eve being at Saturday, he is probably finishing later that day, last minute shoppers and that. Rolling Eyes but if not, we could be there over Christmas, or arrive on the day. Very Happy

We are still deciding if we are going to have Christmas day or New years eve at home, I suppose it depends on who is doing the cooking on Christmas day this year. Christmas break Chat - Page 4 3498837457 Will let you know nearer the time santa

Just tried putting the insulation through the sewing machine and it sews great so it will be a case of cutting the other three panels and sewing tags on each with the extra strong magnets in to stick to the batwing frame.

i was hoping that idea would work as it's really simple, what are you making the tabs out of?

Looks like three of us for Christmas dinner up to now Eilis Nancy and me,

    First draught of the menu

    Roast turkey
    Roast potatoes
Parsnips and carrots done in the oven in butter
Onions half cored stuffed with butter wrapped in foil and done in the other oven
    Brussels sprouts
    Mashed potatoes
    Peas

Pigs in blankets would be nice but we may be limited for oven space.

Open to suggestions but think we should stay traditional

    Dear All

I want to sign up for this in fact I believe I'm obliged to be preparing fish chips and mushy peas on one of the days. (I'll even offer 1 steak pudding if T'Owd Lad comes down.)
I'll be down on Boxing Day providing I can fight through the hangover that will result from a family Christmas Day meal.
The steak pudding has got me thinking, which of you poor deprived people have not had a steak pudding? Or possibly worse still only had it in a restaurant type of establishment where they part bake them to colour? the suet.

my granda used to take me to the cabin we have in weardale and steak suet pudding was a staple food and i hated them but he wouldnt let me leave the table til i ate it i cried through every mouthful then when i joined the navy i would have starved to death if i hadn't eaten them (babies heads they called them) tongue
