Wales following Woodhall meet Empty Wales following Woodhall meet

Post by Helen Sun 17 Jun 2012, 1:55 pm

We had a very wet week, the first day was lovely and sunny but after that it went down hill weather wise. My Caravan and Dandy were both together for the first time, we stayed in our Dandy and admit it feels cosier than any caravan can.

To be fair ours is a 1988 cotswold windrush we paid £700 for and used it on the site we store it for two years on a seasonal pitch, and then a third year putting it on site when we wanted,so it doesn't owe us anything, the tents are kept as part of a dream that i may go tenting again

We are going to be taking the tents one by one to photograph and then sell on Crying or Very sad we did intend to use them but just never did, we take the Dandy it's far more comfortable and already packed to go.

Poor abused child forced into oversize wellies just so you had storage for two extra bottles of wine!

Just wait till she's old enough to dial Childline.

Wow, get you too adventurers! Well, I have a confession to make.........we have a shared family static van too! (shame we cant tow it, that would be good, its an oldie but a goodie!) Laughing Its really my Ma and Pas but we all share it as a family, thought everyone on here would think we were mad if I had said about it, lol.
We love the static coz its in lovely Herefordshire and we like the area, (we have been going for 15 years, and the lads feel comfy there) but we wanted the Dandy for exploring. Very Happy

i think most of us have other camping secrets affraid lol,
nick and i have a cabin in weardale which i inherited from my granda when he died, which is shared with my sisters and 3 cousins but i spent every school holiday and most weekends there as child and i slept in an american pilots WWII sleeping bag he won in a game of cards during the war, and love it still,
it has been significantly modified since he died as it had no running water or electric and was parrifin heaters, gas lamps and a black and white tv off a 12v battery, single glazing and marine ply cladding,
not sure if he would approve of the modifications but now its warm and cosy all year round

I think we should start a guilty secrets thread regarding other units we have lol!

The most important thing is that we also have Dandy's and we chat about them, maintain them and use them as often as possible. Wales following Woodhall meet 3498837457
