Hello from the Smiths Empty Hello from the Smiths

Post by grahampsmith Tue 31 Jul 2012, 5:28 pm

    Just joined the forum

We are The Smiths - Graham, Leanne, Charlotte and Oliver

As a child we had a Dandy in the family from when I was about 10, 4/5 followed by a 5 berth. When I left home I took the 5 berth with us. A couple of years ago after a very wet trip to the Gower, we decided it was time to upgrade to a 1995 (we think) version.

This year will be the first time we have taken it out for a longer than 3 night trip - enjoy a bit of geocaching when we are away

Looking forward to jumping on to the forum to get maintenance ideas to make sure this one lasts!

Especially cleaning !!!! And whether anyone has suggestions for making the door hinge safer (we are convinced that one of the children will slice their finger off!

Is it a stable type door, our daughters last Dandy had that type and we did feel the same way about her daughter and the door.

I suppose its not so much the hinge itself, but the aluminium surround (with a bit of added paranoia)
