another newbie

hi all just bought my 1st dandy a 1980s 4 berth, was absolutely filthy when i got it but after a thorough clean and a few remedials ( still need to replace bottom door section hopefully next weekend) she looks brilliant, i want to brighten up the interior plywood boards any suggestions on best paint to use or better still adhesive coverings.

and to the forum,cant help with your quest to tidy up the interior as ime a traditionalist but ime sure some one will.

or prime and gloss.. we have seen some have wallpapered their walls or Fablon just depends on how far you want you want to go

Fablon is good for a quick fix but there are other options out there, I'll have a look through and see what I can find. Paint is the easy option but it can scratch.

Hello alday, big welcome to the club from one newbie to another. How about a fabric covering? It could be stuck on with Velcro, meaning you could wash/change it if you like? Not sure if it will work re folding up the Dandy, but Helen would know I bet.

You could just tuck a white sheet over the bed boards and velcro the bottom I would probably do something a little more permanent but have you thought of just brightening up the interior via the upholstery, we still have the wood walls but don't mind them as I change the upholstery, curtains and cushions every now and then

many thanks for all the feedback. i really like the idea of using plastic panels but need to find somewhere that i dont need to remortgage in order to purchase. as for photos i will be going away at the start of december so hope to take some then, minus the awning which still looks like its been buried in a dung heap. on a different note i dont seem to be able to use smileys am i doing something wrong.
