Storm / Steady Pole Empty Storm / Steady Pole

We have had an inquiry about the pole at the front of some Dandys so have posted it here in case anyone else needs the info.

They are a storm pole to stop them swaying and steady them up. We do not have one on our 6 Dylan but Phoenix has one.

Ours is a length of we think 3/4" box section. We have a u shaped bracket bolted on one of the hitch bolts and one bolted on the back wall. They have a hole through them which matches a hole in either end of the box section and a couple of pins holds it in place top and bottom. Phoenix had hers from new as far as we know.

Im not sure exactly on the purpose but i would find this quite useful when setting up and putting down as I always get quite concerned when the back wall leans outwards. Is this what it is there to prevent?

We don't use it for setting up. It is usually the last bit we put on. It is just to brace every thing up a bit firmer and stop movement in high winds. Smile
