Water Pipe replacement Empty Water Pipe replacement

Post by mbfos Fri 25 Jul 2014, 7:55 pm

    Hi

Had a quick search but couldn't find anything. We have recently bought a lovely Dandy Designer. However the water pipe that runs to the sink is quite dirty and we want to replace it before we go away on Sunday. It uses an electrical pump powered by the internal electrics. Both the electric wire and water tube run directly to the back of the tap.

To replace the tube do you have to physically pull it off the back of the tap in situ?

Thanks to anyone who can advise

    Jeff

Looks like the pipe has collapsed as well, you probably won't get much water through it.
I pull the pipe off mine each time I put it away but not sure of the electrical connection.

Here's the tap available from Ian at Riva Leisure. Looks like the cable is attached to the tap.

Thanks, that's exactly the tap we have, looks like a bit of brute force may be required!

When we removed one similar, we warmed it up with a hot wet cloth, and gave it a good wiggle. Or you could cut the pipe down the length, by the fitting to help loosen it. And your new pipe will slide on much easier with a good hot soak and maybe a rub of vaseline.

I used a hot air gun to make the tube pliable.  Smile

I know Amazon is cheaper but do we want Ian to go out of business and there be no more support for dandys. Just a thought.
