Re: Next years camping plans
We will do a few long weekends perhaps even visit Woodhall Spa again, we haven't really decided what we are doing for a longer holiday yet.

Re: Next years camping plans
Easter would be good for us as we could tack a few days on but I think if we are organising an Easter meet we should really think about the location first to make it as accessible as possible for all of our members.

Re: Next years camping plans
Our camping next year will probably consist of an assortment of classic car and VW shows, as well our main holiday.
Unfortunately bank holiday camping is an impossibility due to work. But on a good note, we get to go when places are cheaper and quieter.

Re: Next years camping plans
We are planning a trip to Malta for our main holiday (sans Minnie). We also camp with friends on the Spring & August Bank Holidays and for the Tewkesbury Medieval fair. Probably off to our favourite site the Old Oaks in Glastonbury for a few days in September, other than that nothing particular planned - open to offers, as we want to get away as often as we can. Must admit Woodhall Spa sounds nice.

Woodhall is lovely and the nicest campsite we have had the pleasure of staying at but the thing that really makes it all so special is the Bakery's sausage rolls and cakes.
the indian and italian the swimming pool and the walk in the woods and the Kinema in the woods and just about everything

Camping in 2012
Have you seen Th Great Dorset Steam Fair ch5 Thurs the showmen. it is a fantastic week. we have stayed at Church Farn Sixpenny Handley But next year will be camping at the fair (you need your own toilet) If you go to Woodhall Spa have a meal at the Petwood Arms which was the dambusters officers mess. And visit Horncastle for its plethora of second hand and antique shops plus a fantastic community theatre in the yard of the Black Lion pub.

Next Years camping
Hiya everyone. We are looking to get up to Church Style in Wastwater at some point during the year. Fantastic site with excellent amenities. Two pubs serving real ale and fantastic food a two minute walk away and the most fantastic bakers at Gosforth. Dogs and Kids welcome and plenty of choice as to grass or hardstanding if you like.

Re: Next years camping plans
Hi Mike. The site is called Church Stile Farm at Wasdale Head and can be found on the UK Campsite virtual brochure. I forgot to mention the walking, cycling and climbing opportunities. Not to mention St Bees beach which is still dog friendly.mike wrote:Nice area Terry but i cant find the site, have you a link.

That's the one. Not cheap and the ground is hard so you need rock pegs but the deer and other wildlife make up for that. Micro Brewery in one of the pubs. I had a pint of bitter that was 8.5%. I only needed one!!!
