It is a sad story, but why did she transfer that amount of money without viewing the caravan? Alarm bells should have rang when ebay returned her money when she first tried to pay.

I agree, it's one thing to pay a deposit through paypal as you can claim it back should things go wrong but you should never pay money into an account. If they are reputable they wouldn't ask you for the whole amount to be paid into an account.

I hate it that people are so dishonest and dupe unsuspecting trusting people out of their money.
Its a lesson for us all. Be careful out there,
