have you seen the movelite awnings our designer came with one which we sold as we prefer the original dandy awning but these come in different sizes and are a good fit to the dandy

well i can only speak from our experience of the movelite and it was a good fit with an adjustable toggled tunnel, light and easy to errect with four light weight poles and dandy just had a small awning rail fitted above door under roof overhang and as was a drive away awning also could zip up awning on evening to retain heat and you can get an inner tent for these so could be an extra bedroom if required i'm sure we have more pics of the fit etc so if your interested i can get nick to post them

So the awning rail is fitted to the outside of the door under the overhang, is the rail straight? or curved around the shape of the panel?
Also what holds the sides of the tunnel against the dandy? Smile

    As an idea?
    Because it was poorly done?
Not keen compared to the awning as is or an awning with horizontal zips at the top of the sides?
    Please expand.

I prefer the zips straight, the sides are easier to zip on.

Your choice Kevin but we found it difficult to deal with the U zips and the strip for the legs as that was flying around in the wind, you can't peg it down as your zips wont zip up if it has been pegged in the wrong position either.

pete will find the pics the awning rail was a kind of curve/ half hexagon shape and the elasticated toggle sides of the tunnel part pulled to shape and i attached it to bed legs then used the dandy awning panel skirt which velcros along under door as draft excluder it is hard to explain but will find the pics as a picture paints a thousand words as they say
