Why are you keeping the awning? Though the open area is physically the same size as the awning on a six the 6 has extra flaps on the edge of the sides to allow it to flare out to meet the sides of the roof on the six.
Getting your awning professionally adjusted would cost £££'s probably as much as buying an awning. (yes I know when they come up)
Also depending on your fortunes keeping the awning even if adjusted wouldn't help with on a blue 6/lowside Destiny.
I'd hold out for the best swap or just buy and sell to get what you want.
Prices look a bit depressed at the moment but that is a two way street. Less got for yours but less spent on replacement.
Though the two 6's (3 including the orange one) up on eBay at the moment are a bit pricey but you may well fetch more for a well presented 5 than the equivalent 6.
I'd be thinking about bleeding some gas through your heater and firing it up. It might not even need a clean and all that consists of is blowing through with an air line.
We either have the details on file, I can find them elsewhere or I'll email them to you if you want.
I always get disheartened by sellers saying I have x,y and z but not used or tested them. Can't imagine I'm the only one.
I'll link your add in the for sale thread as well.
How did you get the add through eBay. I thought they wanted full value encouraging swaps and PX isn't their sort of thing.
You have mentioned your desire to swap or PX elsewhere. I know the man who mentioned to you the swap or PX offer on the 6 on eBay I presume nothings come of that. Though his 6 must be outstanding otherwise he is looking for a bit much.
Mikes already added the link.

Thanks for the advice
Thanks for your info it is much appreciated.
I have revised my listing on ebay now to include the awning and the porch one as well. I have also removed the swap as I bought a Dandy 6 tonight. Its an orange and white, the deep orange which I've never seen before. That said its a bit of a wreck and needs some money spending on it to get to the same condition as my Dandy 5.
The real plus is it came with a matching awning.
The main reason we didn't check the heater in the 5 is simply that we don't use gas at all in the dandy just for safety. So the cookers in my 5 and my 6 won't ever get used, I take the cooker and sink out and keep them in the shed I have built another unit for putting our clothes in which is much more useful than the dead space under the cooker and sink.
The other 6 on ebay is too much money for us to even strike a deal with the man, who is in fact my dad.

Re: musicman185 advert

My pictures are on I think
I have put some pictures in the gallery I THINK, not sure though as it said Personal album.
It is a 1978, we have decided to call it "Mater", Thats the rust bucket pickup truck off the kids film "CARS"
His exterior is an eyesore but he's good inside. Plus, I not sure about having another women in the family 1 is quite enough.

Have a look at the link in this thread, it comes in different colours and would sort your hole in the wall.

Just got in
Just thought I'd give an update. I just came in having been out in the Dandy all day doing the repairs. We have decided to get it ready for next weekend and also Woodhall to see you all.
Have a look at my album to see what I've been doing.

Re: musicman185 advert
I would check with the site first to make sure they will allow you to bring a Dandy along just for the day before towing it
