Short of painting the plastic sides of my Dandy 4 to get rid of UV bleaching, does anyone have any other solutions.
I have tried car wax and back to black but the white areas still show through.

I guess you meen the trailer sides,if they are prone to uv bleaching that could be why so many get painted, cant see you getting the color back now.

I am not looking to get the colour back anymore. Perhaps a wax or other type of finish that will stop the bleached areas shining through.

Did consider WD40. I prefer the the "working clothes" look more to the shiney new suit, but that is only my preference.

hope you don't mind me having a stab at this one as I don't have a dandy YET.!

but just a thought of previous plastics renovating projects,
what about UPVC cleaner the type used for plastic doors and windows.
or even rubbing compound like T cut
I think polish would just enhance the surface you've already got.

Sorry I think the plastic sides are the least loved form.
I've seen owners consider moving forward with aluminium sides. I've seen them spray ply sides to look more modern and they can revert back to phenolic ply for a more retro look.
You may become the Guru of the plastic side.
Can't think of anything for cleaning but whole ranges of plastic paint have been developed for spraying colour coded bumpers and the like.
Not the most comprehensive of searches but here's Googles paint for plastic search:

Hi Rick, Your input is welcome...Dandy or not.
T-Cut will not look at the depth to how far the UV has penetrated. I have tried car wax and "magic" vinyl restoring compounds but the white chalky look always bleeds through after a day or two.

After a lot of searching on the net I have came to the conclusion I will have to paint it. I may try a clear satin lacquer on it to see if I can keep some of the look I want. It would probably be easier to strip out the old and replace with new.

I did think of taking the panels off and turning them inside out.
Its all food for thought....character building my Gran would have called it.

Kevin, It looks like I may have to envoke the wrath of the oily rag gods and do some kind of cosmetic job on this.
