Designer Wobbly table base Empty Designer Wobbly table base

Post by clydestyle Mon 03 Sep 2012, 9:59 pm

    Hi All,
The brown base for the table in my Designer is a bit loose.
A few of the screws in the base are turning freely.
I tried to remove the base plate but to ho avail- the said screws just keep turning- any tips to get them out.
Also has anyone done this repair that can give me some advice?

    Thanks

I would put chocks under the table base and try and ease them up while unscrewing

I'd go with Caz's suggestion first ..... I've always been like a bull in a china shop and am very fond of my lump hammer Twisted Evil

    Guys
My 71 year old dad is a joiner and could easily get the screws out but I will pay for it as he laughs at my lack of DIY skills!
I also prefer a large hammer but will try the "light touch" first!!

I couldn't resist Mr and Mrs P, someone will be thinking - what's a hamifer?
