    Christmas Songs Empty Christmas Songs

Post by Helen Tue 04 Dec 2012, 8:49 am

What's your favourite Christmas time song ..... not all have to have a Christmas theme but have been the big songs over the festive season.

this is one we end up singing along to towards the end of the night

and every year we have to listen to this as it's one of my dads favourites so now it's a family tradition and Christmas wouldn't be the same without it

    Love this one too

    Not Anyone's Favourite Christmas Singles

Remember the "Top Of The Pops" compilation albums when you were a kid (OK several of you are not that old)
Loads of studio time wasted in trying to sound like the original artists but they never could.
Nothing could be worse than that rubbish right! Wrong so wrong there are some covers that should just never have been made.
Christmas seems to bring out the best / worst of this genre.

Not in the traditional countdown to the best or worst in this case but straight in at the foulest thing to ever appear at Christmas and that is including Avian Flu.
If you know worse than this I can't say I want to hear it but it's your duty to post it.

Not as offensive to as many people but this despoils a particular favourite of mine. I can't play the original as it's the 4th of Dec and I've still not heard the original yet this year. Oh the anticipation.

    A Guilty Pleasure at Christmas

I took a computer into PC World the year after a well known personality was invited to reside at Her Majesty's Pleasure when they found some less than wholesome images on his computer. Upon entering the store This started playing off the stores Christmas tape. How I didn't drop the computer I'll never know.

Catch the 1984 December chart rundown as well.

If all his entries had been at 22 there would have been no problems!

I went to see him supporting Marillion at Milton Keynes Bowl one year. Not one to brag about these days!

My apologies. I've misunderstood what you had previously said.

You still get your knees drilled out if there is any more posting of non Phil Spector versions of things contained on the A Christmas Gift To You album.

Not that I'm getting picky about Christmas.

Did we do Christmas songs last year? Looked but couldn't find.

Seem to remember posting this and saying that the horn piece is sampled and used in another Christmas hit.

Non existent prizes not on offer for the person who posts it. Hint used in the biggest Christmas film of the 80's.

As for this I must have known it for years but a few years ago Craig Charles covered for Steve Wright in the run up to Christmas and reintroduced me to it. Cracking DJ is Craig Charles.

I am not sure os the name of the song, but it is Bing Crosby singing Little drummer boy, while David Bowie sings Leti it be,I think, not the Beatles let it be.
