The very local sites we have done to death over the years but there are some in the Louth area we haven't tried and thats only 16 miles,so its something to consider.

Re: Twitter thread 2013
We are off to drop the caravan off in Wales, after last years disastrous season it's had to have a few repairs ....... the site called and asked why we hadn't come back this year and by way of apology for not contacting us when our van was in a precarious position they gave us the rest of this season at a ridiculously low price. At least this year we won't feel like money is being wasted if we don't go and if we feel like it it's handy to have it there and the family can use it too. Laura is going to tag along with the Dandy while John tows the van so it should be a nice family weekend away and I get to sleep in my Dandy on my memory foam It's been a naff couple of weeks, mum was taken into hospital and was released yesterday and my pet bunny Daisy went to bunny heaven on Wednesday so we are looking forward to a break even if it is only a couple of nights. Johns just set off to get it out of storage and then we're off

Re: Twitter thread 2013
Hope you have a nice weekend Helen, it sounds like you deserve a break.
My folks are visiting in their caravan at the moment and we're going away with them next weekend. I've just tried to book one of our favourite sites for the third time this year and for the third time it's full. I know it's short notice, but at this time of year it hasn't been a problem previously. Clearly I will need to stop telling people about it
We looked at one just up the road from it that we've used previously - £34.10 per night for the three of us . It's a well-kept site with a nice amenity block but, other that that, nothing special so I've booked a no frills CS site just on the edge of Crickhowell town at £12 per night.

Re: Twitter thread 2013
£34.10 I'd expect a waiter served breakfast included for that price
The beauty of our Dandy is that it's already here so it just needs hooking up ....... the caravan is over an hours round trip just to get it here as John will have to pass the house for where it's going. We're going to have a mini convoy

If it's a photo can you copy the image as it's showing as unavailable in the link.

Ouch! Oh it's not that disparaging as you have Acrylic windows too.
I was wondering what the photo was taken for?
It shows what a new carpet and a re covering of the seats can do. A probably sub £500 30+ year old Dandy and you would be happy to invite anyone into it.
Scrupulously clean as attested to by the windows it just looked a little odd with no curtains.
Looking a little staged as it is without the normal camping clutter but also without the items one might use for a staged photo.

Yes I've got acrylic windows, and flexi (not sure what they are called) in the PVC and a combination of a sheet of perspex and a flexi window over the bed.
The overbed one you can't even get at the inside surfaces easily.

There is a second surface on your bedside window? When did this happen from?
Poor English. There are two surfaces on any sheet material. There is a second window pane?

Re: Twitter thread 2013
There's a flexi window in the roof and a plastic perspex window in the bed end board. You have to look through both. I guess you could sort of call it double glazing. So I have 4 surfaces.
Shame its always so dirty because when sat on the settee that is the main view out.

navver Sorry I was criticizing myself when I said there are two surfaces on any sheet material. I understood what you said perfectly (I think) when you said inside surfaces. I was just puzzled as my Designer doesn't have an inner window and I've not seen a Designer with an inner window. Then again I've never looked for one.
Just seen your post about the sheet of perspex inside.
Is this post as you first sent it or have you edited it? It had a WoW the first time and other marks that may have been tools used. It's only revealed in the topic review below where I'm typing. I then opened the thread in another tab to look at how it originally was again but there too all was revealed.

Re: Twitter thread 2013
I know you think you understood what I said but I'm not sure what I said is what I think I said and I'm not sure what you heard is what I meant to say. There, is that clear.
I originally posted using the Wow & Random functions but they didn't work so I edited to remove them. The words were actually the same but not all came out on the screen.
So are most Designers just a flexi window in the roof end with a hole in the bed end board?

Re: Twitter thread 2013
The riva video looks like a steel tube framed hole, but mine is wooden beading holding the perspex in. There is no metal frame. I didn't get much condensation on it.

Re: Twitter thread 2013
I've never seen an inner window in this location either.
There is always a lot of condensation on the outer PVC one so I can see how it would help considerably
