No awning but there are alternatives you can use and it needs the water pump reconnecting.

Looking at the prices Dandys have been going for recently on eBay I'm really glad we accepted £850 for Minnie in December.

It's a supply and demand thing Jayne, I've always said if I sell it will more than likely be to someone I know or Jan/Feb.

This one looks nice and if they've bothered to change the suspension then they've most likely looked after it, it's been with them for 10 years ..... bet they get upset as it drives off into the sunset to it's new home

I'm hoping the price of that Designer increases significantly.

Otherwise I'll be looking for space to store a second Dandy, when I haven't even enough for the one I've got

Yes us too We have a spare suncanopy we could use with it instead of swapping over from the awning when packing the dandy we already have we could just take whichever Dandy has what we want on it ..... one with the awning and one with the suncanopy

It is only just up the road from us and Mrs P keeps saying should we!!! 3 on the drive is pushing it a bit.

It has to be worth a fair bit more than £750 the suspension and tyres would have cost a few hundred and won't need replacing for a while .... the suspension should last years and years ..... do you have a place to put it if I win the auction

It has everything I like, heater plus full insulation and the added bonus of front window blinds saves messing with putting up curtains ..... I'd personally rather have fully insulated plus heater rather than uninsulated plus awning, you can always get an alternative awning but you'll struggle to insulate the inside of a designer because of the front windows.

Still a bargain at the moment, although a lot can happen in the last moments of an ebay auction.

If I was going for another Dandy it would probably be an early green one to do up. I remember when I first started looking at Dandys but knew nothing much about them a green one came up on ebay that had been really carefully restored and sold for a song. I have always regretted not snapping it up

I'm just a bit sillier than you I'm in two minds at the moment if I did win would I keep that one and sell on ours which is a bit older but in great condition and has only done a few hundred miles on it's new suspension but I would have liked double glazed windows but I like my interior so it would be a close call

Well yes there are, hubby got in from the hospital just at the wrong moment ....... I was going for a last minute attack of £853 even had it typed in ready never mind it's not as though I'm Dandyless and would have found it very difficult to part with the one we have now

Whoever got it may you have as much fun with it as we have with ours

I was expecting a bidding war to break out in the last minute ... but no!

I wonder why it didn't do better. The seller was almost too honest in describing some of the negative points, but they were all minor and the honesty should have encouraged some nervous bidders to take a chance.

We paid £1300 for our 1994 Designer back in late 2007 and did an amount of upgrade / repair work on it. Had we not part exchanged it we'd be selling it now and expecting to get at least what we paid - we might have been disappointed.

I know ..... I missed the end war and the hubby's lucky only his knee is sore at the moment
