What? A bit like an Advent calender?
I'd be careful with that sort of thing.
Bought an Advent calender from the Jehovah's Witnesses last year.
When I came to use it and opened the first door I found two of the buggers stood behind it.

Like that one,i would start the countdown but ime sure to get it wrong we have been out and bought nancys grand kids there main Christmas presents and called in at b&m to see if they have any Christmas meet essentials out on display yet but they are still boxed up down the aisle, the first thing i need is a tinsel Christmas tree for outside the awning with lights on.

Read this and it didn't register a first just how many Christmas songs I can remember.
Yes the genre of Christmas themed sons is having a hard time as witnessed by Justin Lee Collins in Bring Back The Christmas Number One. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] 6.00min onwards for the song.
Though keeping Simon Cowell off the No 1 spot "Killing In The Name Of" isn't the sort of ditty for your granny to sing along to even if "She's Up And Rock And Rolling With The Rest"
Though we all know the standards; Slade, Mud, Pouges & Kirsty MacColl. We perhaps all have strange favourites.
Another Rock And Roll Christmas causes me to smile. I'd taken my computer in to PC World. Just as I walked through the doors the opening bars started and I nearly dropped my computer. Laughing uncontrollably and barely able to walk I struggled to the desk. Apparently only I found it odd that PC World should be playing Garry Glitter seen as they had forwarded the comments of the hard drive of his computer onto the police and he was at that time in jail.
My Favourite Christmas single is The Waitresses' Christmas Wrapping. Having only heard the closing thirty seconds of the song and no idea what it was I forgot all about it. Then 12 months later had the most wonderful present when it reappeared.
No band video for this but I don't know how many of you know it so: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Hint Helen it's at this point Christmas lights become annoying.
So what is your favourite Christmas single?
Quick quiz without looking it up who can remember Mike Oldfield's Two Christmas Singles?

Two cracking old chestnuts:
Which film first used White Christmas, Holiday Inn or White Christmas.
Irving Berlin wrote the song White Christmas. What is the first verse?

There we are now with links to Darlene Love and Clarence Carter.
Yes Vicky it is Holiday Inn. I always knew that White Christmas was in an older film than the one with Danny Kaye in. Just always assumed that as it had a Hotel featured as the backdrop that was the film called Holiday Inn.
