Extra Dandy leg for stability
We have a little leg that we fit under the dandy ( under where the door is) its fully adjustable and it really is surprising how much difference it makes. The dandy just feels more stable when stepping in and out.
I will take some pictures and post them here in the next couple of days.

Re: Extra Dandy leg for stability
Seen some people use a small scissor jack, just under the door opening.

It doe's the same job but is purpose Made and really is good. A scissor Jack would be just as effective.

Re: Extra Dandy leg for stability
We used one under the opening on our previous 4, did notice after a while (a few trips) that door 'scuffed' very slightly at the bottom when closing it. Still use it on the Delta, but have it just to one side of door opening directly under the upright frame at side of door (if that makes sense)

Re: Extra Dandy leg for stability
We could have done with one on the delta but with the six it doesn't need one, probably because its a side door.

Re: Extra Dandy leg for stability
Hi Helen, We made enough for both at the time. They seem to work ok, same as we use - but we them have at side of doorway.
Hope 5 is behaving itself. I came across 2 of the brown plastic handles (off sliding doors) when I was sorting the shed out. Can't think where they are from, (medication trashes the memory, ha-ha) please let me know if 5 is short of them and we can send them.
Regards
Richard

Re: Extra Dandy leg for stability
these would work a treat one on each side towards the rear of the trailer [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] i think it would be easy to fit as the chassis rail at the bottom of trailer is accessable from both sides,so just a case of drilling holes and attaching brackets with suitable bolt/locking nut and washers job done [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: Extra Dandy leg for stability
ooh shall def have a look at these when i next meet up with you
also wondered if you can get the screw things (note the technical term here) that are used on the leg with all metal rather than plastic and metal, having real problems with the plastic splitting and making it hard to tighten or loosen them as the handle just goes round and round

New i should have pmd Eilis need to sort out the a bolt size and thread, then if i weld a piece of bar on the end it will still tighten by hand but if it locks on you could tap it with a hammer to loosen.

Re: Extra Dandy leg for stability
Mike, on our Delta the thread is M8 and they are 20mm long.
With our previous 4 I used a 10mm spanner as the plastic turn thing had broken off and it leaves a 10mm nut exposed that was captive inside the plastic.

Going to look into this at the weekend weather permitting, also going to look at making a spanner type handle for removing them in case they become stuck.

Re: Extra Dandy leg for stability
Here it is ...... sorry kept forgetting to photograph it whilst we we're away
Better late than never though and while it's out it can have a coat of paint
It's a bit of aluminium box section with a length of threaded bar at the bottom so you can raise it or lower it.
