Next years holidays

Will you be going away next year between the 27th of July and the 12th of august,or will you be glued to the box for the Olympics
As i dont normally bother with a tv when away i could easily be sitting in my dandy in a field,i fully appreciate the occasion but have no interest in sport.

I do like to watch some of the Olympics but am not glued to the screen and if it's a choice between the Olympics or going out in my Dandy then the Dandy would win hands down (or legs down)

However, it doesn't have to be a choice with EHU and our little tv

that's true but next year i want to be out in the dandy even more if possible

Apparently the best part of the countries mobile toilet stock will be at the London Olympics.

lol wouldn't need one as i have my personal one don't fancy places like glastonbury, you can smell the loos for miles and miles eeeewwww

well Nick and I wanted to go to the Olympics we were going to have a fortnight down there in dandy and travel in to London to watch the things we wanted so had money in bank and list of events picked had even checked out campsites near where we wanted to be and guess what nothing nada zilch in the bloody stupid lottery for tickets even though they took money and we had to wait 4 weeks to find out if we were successful then i even got up at 5.30 in morning when the second chance tickets went on sale and unless we wanted to go to st james park (boo hiss never) to watch guadalupe training for 25 quid we were going no where very sore point in our house so we will be in a field boycotting the whole blooming thing

that's a real shame but you can still watch the best bits sat in your field lol

We may even be able to plan ahead and sort out our own Olympic meet somewhere

I don't think I would enter the second one but I like Mike's idea and think I would also like to see
who can wash up the fastest as I have had my other half in training for the past few years now and I reckon he is a contender

I really wanted to get tickets for the athletics, but like Vicki - total zilch. Even getting up at 5:45 on holiday in NI and using 2 phones to try and get through didn't work!
My first thought was to boycott the whole thing, but I expect I'll be glued to the telly for the track and field anyway!

I'm sure that I heard on the radio whilst sat in a lovely field in Wales that one of the big companies is offering tickets as prizes. I think it was 1000 but can't remember who was advertising It may have been the Sun but I could be wrong.

Shame how they can let companies have tickets to promote business but hard working people of the country who will also be paying towards the cost can't get them.


Never mind there will probably be the 'Dandycampers Olympic meet' nothing energetic mind just a get together.

i like the idea of an olympic getaway, i will want to watch the cycling, but could set the sky plus and go away in my dandy and watch it when i get home, be the camp sites will be begging for campers north of watford. i see a dandy rally in the making here.

what a bad set up on the Olympic tickets but bar Olympic's interesting dandy's close by no driving sounds good I'm chasing the tour de France oh Lycra so will be to knackered to be bothered with Olympics
