Don't know about the olive sides either. I think he means the PVC on the batwings. Wonder if he has done a [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] test?
Not in reference to the olive green comment quite separate.
It looks like a plastic sided body but I'm wondering if it's ply that has been painted grey. As the seat supports are the wooden arm type that were changed for tubular rear supports quite early on.

If anyone has access to new ads on Preloved I'd love to see some more info on this.
Is this flued heater the standard Riviera or something different?
How big is the bed.
If it's an oversized bed is the Designer wider than normal? If so does it have an awning, if not where could you get one other than new from Riva. Ouch.

Looks nice, not sure I'd pay that much for it though, especially as it isn't winterised. Better units have been going for a lot less recently.

If someone wants an old one there is reason to believe this will have been cared for.
Read feedback.
Recently sold MK1 Escort 1300 I'm wondering if he towed this with that?

1st I'll learn to read. It does have an awning. A canvas one. Or it is available, don't you just love people who are looking to sell awnings separately?.
The bed how big is it? Is the other side as standard or is that oversized to balance?
Is the flued heater just a Riviera or is it something different.
The awning is it a full width awning? Any pictures?
He says 12v is there a hook up 240v and transformer with a 12v system?
He says rarely used is that by him or his he the original owner? Rarely used is only an advantage if it was garaged.
Anything you want to ask or anything else he wants to say to sell it up.
I presume you'd add any extra photos he has.
It's the bed I'm taken by I must say

Questions:
I have a few questions.
1. Awning. Is the awning included or are you selling it separately? Is it full width?
2. The bed - how big is it? Is the other side as standard or is that also oversized to balance? Can you provide measurements please?
3. Is the flued heater a Riviera or is it something different?
4. Is there a hook up for 240v and transformer with a 12v system?
5. You mention rarely used - is that by you and are you the original owner? How has the unit been stored.
Do you have any further photos, especially of the bed and awning.
Answers:
1. The awning is not a dandy awning. It is a full width canvas awning originally for a caravan.
2. Can use the original 6ft 4ins x 4ft bed which converts simply to a 5ft width.
3. It's the Riviera heater.
4. No. I use the standard hookup cable with a six gang socket at the user end.
5. We are original owners who bought a Fiat campervan when we retired over six years ago. Have always been reluctant to sell the beloved Dandy. sensible move would have been to sell back then, but....... It'been stored outside with an extra top cover.

I'm hoping the awning isn't shown off to it's best in that photo.
Ah the 12volt was a 12volt tv.
Not exactly getting the bed bit is it 5ft or can it be expanded to 5ft? Wouldn't want to have that lovely hard edge to the bed a foot into the sleeping area. Would that be expanding to 4'10" or by 1'2" to 5' not that I'm picky.
Could be a lovely camper if the best was true rather than the worst.
Would imagine you would be biting if the Destiny hadn't come your way Mr Endecay.
The awning may be easier to erect. It might be deeper like a caravan awning tends to.
If he wants to sell things up I'd be pegging that awning out and showing how the awning fits to the rear.
If I wanted a Designer I think I'd be picking up the full SP and having a chat with the seller before anyone else works out that it might be quite nice.

That awning looks very much like our attempt with a caravan awning, because of the roof shape being different to a caravan the awning picture shows exactly what I meant by it wouldn't sit straight. There is a solution with this one though as you could always take a marker pen whilst the awning is up and mark a line along where the roof sits on the awning then sew along the window line to the mark and effectively lift this part into line with the rest of it. You would be taking out a V shape if you get my meaning.
The problem we had with this was that we would be sewing along a window and it would still be too long all around even though it would have sat straight. Perhaps it would look better pegged out or the owner has a trick or two of his own that works.
At least this one is an easy fix as it isn't too long at the front, the windows on ours were on the floor all of the way around it.

It is nice but you'll find you get a choice of awnings and don't get both with it.
