eeh it's dead good this twits thing lol easier than i thought

Just been looking at this twitter thing thinking about it,still dont understand all of face book have recently accepted 3 friend requests and there name and phone number which i didn't have appeared in my contacts list on my phone

yes you can set it up so your contacts are taken from facebook onto your phone, i don't have that set up personally but it's very common

Does this mean they have put there phone number in there profile,if not how did i get them,on this twitter thing i cant post on the dandy campers one.

i think so but i'm not sure, i'm sure someone on here will know for certain

You first have to join twitter, then you find the Dandy Campers and follow ............ you then click the icon with a person at the side of the Dandy Campers profile and click mention a box will come up with @dandy campers and you just type at the side of it. At least that's what I think you do

Face book changed the format for groups so we had to change the picture we were using, the new pic now has our forum motto on it though.

I've added myself onto the fb page.

Yep 47 yesterday. But I intend to grow old disgracefully lol.
Spent all day working on Swampy. And eating loads of cake that the boys had made for me.

I've just bumped the forum a bit on the group page so you may have more notifications than usual.

Sandra has just joined the fb group, I don't know if she realises it yet

I don't believe in facebook but it's nice to know what's going on

When the facebook group started, we also started a twitter account in the name of the Dandy campers, both were just to let people know about the forum and how to find us. Two years on from when this forum started and the facebook group has taken on a life of it's own with people chatting about Dandy's and also advertising Dandy's for sale or joining to go and take a look at Dandy's that have been put on there. We still point them in the direction of this forum and many join others prefer to stay with what they know and chat through facebook. The twitter account is something I didn't really like or enjoy so it's not been touched for quite a while and I think it'll stay that way ..... we're doing okay without it, it's getting on for 600 people who have joined the forum to date and who return time and time again as well as regular posters. The facebook group has 66 members ...... not too shabby when you consider that this thing started with 5 people and all five said we'd be happy just to have a forum for for the 5 of us to chat about our Dandy's on, if anyone else joined in that'd be a bonus.

I use facebook to keep in touch with friends and family, it's great for keeping in touch with people abroad, we get to see their children growing and they can see ours via pictures. My daughter had a hobby so started a fb page and her hobby has turned into a little business all because of facebook. If used properly it can be a good thing but you do get the more childish people who use it in the wrong way as a tool to cause upset, if that happens the best thing to do is ignore them and smile sweetly it will either endear them or p*** them off .... either way you win

I'm the same as you, Helen. I get my daily visit here, we are as good as Facebook and I'm afraid twitter is beyond my ken.
The other site mentioned, some time ago, about false members joining, have you had any trouble with this and explain why that would cause problems. I can't see what the problems could be.
