We've decided to take off tomorrow but haven't really decided where we are going yet as we haven't booked anywhere. We need to make sure everything is working correctly in the caravan before we bring it to Woodhall for Laura to use. Will let you all know where we ended up and how we got on with towing something bigger than our designer

Re: having a break
We're hoping to find extra wide roads with no other traffic and a perfectly level pitch that we can drive onto without any reversing necessary
We'd best get some packing done
Will be back Monday

Re: having a break
We've had a bit of a working break ........... leaky tap, now sorted. TV Ariel didn't work or so we thought, ran out to buy an indoor one fast before corrie only to discover the following day that we had to turn power on to the caravan ariel
Johns reversing skills are worse with a caravan than a dandy we got stuck in mud at one point and the car was sliding but sorted it out in the end ....... John then thought we had lost a leg of the van because he was looking at the front for the winder and not the side

Re: having a break
No it was great really, the only problem was us being dim
Bailey has hurt his back leg, it's not broken as he can walk on it one minute but then will move suddenly and yelp then holds it up for a while but shortly after he can put full weight on it. He was running full pelt across a field when he suddenly turned and yelped, since then it's been on and off so we're doing our best to make him rest it and will probably end up at the vets again.

Re: having a break
I'm pleased your first trip worked out ok in the end, the hiccups just make it more rememberably, lol. But the main thing is, are you pleased with it?
Hope Bailey's leg heals by itself quickly, it does sound like a strain or pulled muscle, vet Caroline recommends rest, gentle exercise and warmth, but I know vet Helen is already on the case.

Re: having a break
Glad you had a fab time Helen, you certainly had the weather for it!
We try not to make our breaks too taxing on us but we really do have to pull our fingers out with a few things soon. We are planning to fit internal electrics (sympathetically of course) at some point and also replace the curtains (they are original and incredibly fatigued!!) so the next few breaks will involve some planning, measuring and discussions.
Hope you still managed to chill out even though you nearly missed corrie

Re: having a break
It was a little windy and we did have some heavy rain last night but it was lovely and sunny the rest of the time
We are very pleased with the van, but it's not like Dandying
