The old dog has taken some steps backward and won't eat again, even whilst on steroids, we can feel his spine now. The vet suspects he has pancreastitis (Spelt wrong) but noone really knows, it could be more serious, it might just pass in a few more days, we're sitting tight and keeping him comfortable.

Pleased you got home safely, did you choose it because of the SOS sign? I think we need one too.

Thank you. At least walks aren't traumatic or scary, he just about makes it round the garden.

The classic passed it's MOT yesterday, with no advisories either, not bad for a car that is 48 years old this year.
The camper is going for hers next week, if she fails too badly, she won't be coming to Woodhall Spa, but will be laid up for a bit. But if she passes, she'll be there with her new boyfriend - Monty the discovery , either way Monty will be there, he might have to accompanied by his Uncle Passat.
No, there is no cure for me.

Same as you reverse normally, are the brakes coming on when you try to reverse?

A lot more easily than you would with a 3ft long general trailer.
The longer the trailer the easier it is to reverse.
The animated sequence is sort of true.
I'd say if you don't have mobility problems it's easier to just know the basics turn yourself round and watch the trailer.
A quiet road or off road area and practice, practice, practice.
It would surprise me if someone of average ability spent more than an hour or maximum two before they were a lot happier.
If your happy to reverse a vehicle just on mirrors now in three moths you should be happy to reverse the trailer just on mirrors.

Normally i would look at adjustment and clean out the brake drums check the cables under the dandy, then if its not that it can get a little more complicated.
The brakes are designed to come on when you reverse but the system should knock them of as the wheel reverse rotates, you can check if its one or both wheels by doing the following.
Handbrake of and the hitch should push all the way back under reasonable pressure and return out slowly,if this is the case jack one side of the dandy up with the wheel on,then push the hitch in and hold it,this is where your new wife gets to really enjoy herself get her to try to rotate the wheel in the forward running direction and of course it shouldn't,then if she try's in the reverse direction the brakes should be on but come off.
The reason they work is one of the shoes is set in a sliding holder which allows the brake shoe to be forced into contact with the drum under forward braking but slip away from it when reversing.

How exciting, it's always nice to surprise someone.
(big gap)
Bomff is no better, hes lost nearly 2kg in total now, he now weighs 9kg. Yesterday he had a very strong pain killer, which nearly knocked the poor lad out, we had to carry him up to bed and back down stairs this morning. As he isn't in any pain, we are going to have the bank holiday weekend with him, and early next week I think it's time to say good bye. Fingers crossed he goes naturally before then.

Re: The twitter thread
Busy day, we sold a tent then bought a lightweight porch awning and John also helped pops to put up the orange dandy and emptied it. The bed boards will be coming off so he can get on with replacing the sides. We took some new stuff to the van and I had a lie down inside while John polished one side, I may have another lie down tomorrow whilst he doe's the other side if the weather is okay.

Re: The twitter thread
I like you approach Helen.
Breaking news, Bomff yesterday afternoon started to look and act loads better, hes now eating more than he was and is being much more interested in things. We can not believe the difference in him, on Friday I had to carry him into the vets as he was so poorly, that's when we had that dreaded conversation, but decided as he wasn't in pain, to have the 'last weekend' with him. We are completely shocked how well hes looking now, we will have to go to the vet tomorrow morning just to show them, a phone conversation will not be believed.
My friend up the road saw him on Friday and again today, she's 83 and had dogs all her life, she said she had never seen such a poorly dog one day, looking so well a few days later, she's always known them to be gone very quickly from his point on Friday.
We understand that he might suddenly deteriorate at any time, we will will just take each day as it comes, but today is fantastic.
