Dandy Glamping

Hello campers!

I was wondering what everyone thinks about 'glamping' up a dandy away from the original colours etc. I was thinking of going boho bonkers with my designer after seeing all the wonderful things on Pinterest. If I now trade it in for a 6 I don't think I'd better do the mad makeover as I feel it might put people off and lower the trade in value. What do others think?

i'm all for it ali but i like everything to match my unit and be removeable and besides nick would go mad if i put anything else in trailer if i had the space id love to do a girlie dandy for me with bunting and stuff lol

That's exactly what I fancy doing - a girly pinky/purply hippy dandy! my husband will have a fit too but i was thinking of doing it sneakily when he's not around!

I love the sun canopy on that caravan and all the lights too

not sure i'd go really girly as that's not me but do love individuality in all things so i say go for it

I love the idea of Glamming a Dandy up but only if you intend to keep it as you may limit your market.

You could always change curtains and add cushions and removable seat covers, bunting can be hung and then removed and fairy lights always look so pretty too.

nick has very strict pillow to cushion ratio which i have to adhere to otherwise they only end up getting thrown on the floor and trampled on so i can just picture his face with some of those units
unfortunately his colour blindness does not stretch to me being able to convince him pink and lilacs and pastels are navy otherwise i'd already have done it

Well I've done the covers/curtains/cushions thing already but now fancy really going mad with paint and fabric! But I will have to do it on the new one when I get one I think or I might not resell the designer so easily myself and Riva might not want it on their premises!!!

Pink and Purple pastels are the new navy!


My cushion count last summer's 4 day camping trip was 19! My sons were not impressed!!

Made a remark as a joke in the dandys for sale thread about glamping a six but the more i think about it the more suitable i think a six would be,all the drapes to cover the beds would be well out of the way,just more room to work with no ime not into glamping i get fed up with sorting all the stuff we need without adding to it.

You're certainly right about the biggger the dandy the more the scope for glamping!! It was very perceptive of you to think of that Mike - maybe you harbour secret glamping fantasies??????

hmm I'm not sure - closet glamping is nothing to be ashamed of!
