Steve i use a program called photo shop which would do far more than you would need,there must be a free program that will do it,will have a look for you.

Steve been looking for a program then realised i was being a bit silly,the easy way for you to try it is
Go to my holiday diary thread right click on the picture of a guy flying and select "save image as" you will then have a reduced image that you can try to upload on this thread,saves a lot of messing about and will show if its whats causing your problems.

Mike appears to have found a solution to the problem. The site's resize abilities possibly has its limitations with big photo files. Wonder what the maximum is that it can cope with. That or it's my version of AOL that doesn't want to play. Anyway I've started a Photobucket account and I'll see if that route is more viable. Also gone on line using Internet Explorer instead of AOL and that seems to be being somewhat more forgiving. The experiments will continue, so, if you see any strange photos popping up that don't seem to have anything to do with anything, well, it might just be me. Be patient, I don't learn quickly (I don't do anything quickly these days if I can help it.)

Thanks for congratulatory messages but I'm left a little confused (Doreen says it's nothing unusual & often happens when I do stuff, like think. Oh! she can be so... can't think what the word is. Probably better not to. Safer as well!) Anyway the gallery photo was one I tried to upload using Internet Explorer and I got the usual message of 'Program cannot display webpage'.
Then it's apparently overcome its own limitations and done the business regardless. Just tried another photo to the gallery, in the same way & got the usual message again. Let's see now, awkward, unreasonable, unhelpful, prone to changes of attitude. I wonder if websites are prone to hormonal imbalance like - well, one or other of the sexes?
