I'm very proud of both my grandchildren but don't think we'll be blessed with any more for quite a while. grandchildren are like having sunshine on a rainy day

To amplify, Mr Itch, yes I do get Gumtree ads for Dandys (and lesser breeds) popping up all over chrome and no the ones in the pop ups never appear when I click on them. It's all a mystery to me

I tend to go for the alternative that my last birthday was the 29th anniversary of my 21st.

My daughter, Emily, has been in the "Induction Suite" at Warrington General since 1500 hrs yesterday and still nothing seems to be happening, I thought the whole point was to induce something but then this is NHS speak so it probably means something completely different to what a person of average intelligence and a reasonable education would think

It means that I'm pretty much tied to home at the moment, but i've already started the party as Sandy is in London where her 94 yr old mum is getting an award for being an outstanding mature student So I've some way to go yet

It's Sunday. There is no point being a consultant if you have to work weekends. Don't ever get ill at night or during the weekends. I got admitted to hospital with a pleural effusion and cardiac tamponade on a Saturday. Can't remember if I even got a scan before the Monday. Then it was a blue line taxi to a different hospital for surgery to let out over 11/2 litres of fluid from the heart sack.

It will all no doubt start tomorrow.

On a personal and rather more selfish note, I've had a rubbish day. Feeling very fed up and have just depressed myself looking for a new job

Nope sadly not, although I have been looking for some time and made several applications x

Well I can praise myself at the sensitivity of spotting your discomfort last year or just fess up to being confused and it was no doubt someone else.

Update on the grandchild front, very large (9lb+ ) boy born by c- section at about noon today, both fine so I suppose it will have to be

tonight, life can be hard
