Re: Twitter thread 2013
I have been going green with envy at Mr Itch's bargain fridge, not helped by the fact that the gumtree ad kept popping out at me all over the web when I knew it was sold to a good home I have now found one on e-bay for just a little more
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
All I have to do now is collect it tomorrow and hope it works. 12v lead missing should be no problem, I may have one already, gas connection may be a bit more difficult but I'm sure can be sorted.
Checking the map to find out the exact location on google there was a pale blue dandy in the drive They must be honest then

Re: Twitter thread 2013
Picked up the fridge yesterday and yes there was a Discovery in the drive, so I said "I've got one just like that at home" and showed her the dandycampers.org sticker on my tailgate whilst extolling the virtues of you all. Don't know if there will be any result
The fridge works perfectly in all modes (including the ignition) after spending all morning looking for a 5/16 l/h thread hose connector, eventually one was found in Warrington trailers' "gash box" with the remains of a hose swaged to it. Five minutes work to remove the swage and reveal the hose connection, new (2012) bit of hose and two clips and it is working as I speak.
Never throw anything away a good gash box is invaluable

Re: Twitter thread 2013
Well posted I can send a link to my tight twit of a friend an acquaintance showing him that's another one he missed out on.
For cheap gas bits see [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] but be quick as Calor now have a 50% steak so prices soon to go up. Cheap gas bottles 6Kg now £16 not £14 at Haydock but that is a new bottle and filled cheaper than a fill at most places. Only £22 for 12Kg cylinder. Make sure you print off prices from website (they do include VAT) staff are a set of scallys.
3 way fridge, you looking for a bit of off EHU camping?

Re: Twitter thread 2013
EHUs have always been an optional extra as far as I'm concerned, useful but not essential I would like to try and use some (cheap) CCC temporary holiday sites this year and they don't normally have lectric although the one we went to last easter at Cartmel racecourse had and we didn't take a lead
The answer to cheap fridges obviously lies in Staffordshire, yours was from Stoke mine from next door in Newcastle u/L. Mine was badly advertised, being described as an electric fridge not a three way would mean some people probably dismissed it as a peltier type cool box, fortunately for me

Having a fridge makes a big difference ....... especially if you enjoy white wine or cold beer.
an added bonus is that the food doesn't get wasted.

Re: Twitter thread 2013
I think the desired effect is upon cider.
So the food doesn't get wasted but you do?
Jake does anyone produce a commercial Peltier fridge other than in very small sizes for drugs? The beer can stoves that charge a mobile use the reverse effect.
The ones we buy are are are I'm unsure I know there is a fan like in forced evaporation but how would you get forced evaporation of dry metal?
I'll look that up next.

Sorry I've been thin on the ground of late, again. I am still here, popping in when time and energy allow, I have to be and am being very careful not to over do it, I'm learning to keep to my limits.
Now that sounds very secretive, it's not meant to be, I'm just aware it's an open forum.

Re: Twitter thread 2013
"did you miss me while I was away did you hang my picture on the wall " opps sorry wrong song monster mash would be more appropriate anyway we went away to a poshish hotel next door to brands hatch ok the first one we turned up at was very posh got to reception " hello you here for the wedding?" "no the funeral" ha ha all when quiet and panic ensued as the reception whispered amongst them selves then realised I was at the wrong Hotel I am sure they breathed a sigh of relief when we left " mum that is to posh for you " my son said as we left the long long driveway eventually we found ours got to reception " you here for the comedy weekend" " no for a funeral !!!" then asked for credit card ok no probs gave them one then promptly forgot my pin number how embarrassing so got hold of friends in the party and got covered all my numbers are in my black book which I left at home on the kitchen table we will have to starve no all ok I remembered after the first go at the hole in the wall
get to our room well that's ok managed to take my laptop so my son was happy but they are cheeky charging £10 for 24 hrs of WiFi In Cardigan its free ..anyway went down for food served in the lounge oh ok pizza and a sandwich for me .. Pizza turned up that's him happy then a plank of wood turned up with a mini chip frying sive with French fry's in so cute and besides that was i suppose was the so called sandwich ? don't get me wrong very pretty but practical it is not, need a degree in how to eat it ..cut triangular and skewered with cocktail sticks fine you say ok the layer's are toasted bread, chicken, egg, lettuce, toasted bread, bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, toasted bread, egg, chicken, lettuce toasted bread the thing is that there is only one slice in the layers so you can not separate the layers unless the rest falls out all over the place and as usual I have an audience so I took the plunge squeezing it as tight as I could but believe it or not still could not get the mouth wide enough it was packed with filling so starving took over.. I attacked it like a corn on the cob until I had a sharp pain up my nose then had a nose bleed my son panicked ..well all calmed down eventually and when I realised what I had done.. did I feel a prat. remember me saying about the cocktail sticks well I found another one skewered up my nose ..the rest of the funeral party arrived during the nose bleed saga oh god wished a hole would open up and take me else were but here finally got to bed and next day the funeral in the after noon so time for a shower .. read instructions "place shower curtain inside the bath" check !.. collected the little bottles around the sink , compliments of the hotel .. I thank you very much!! in I get turn the shower on then plat hit the opposite wall I fought my way back under the shower holding on tight to the bar on the wall what a shower like being in-front of a fireman's hose pipe skin pealing hanging on tight and enjoying the shower when a loud banging on the door and yelling why me I managed not only to flood the bathroom but the room we were in mopped up as much as we could and apologised profusely to the cleaner when she turned up bless her she was very good and left us a huge bag of goodies compliments of the hotel think for the entertainment factor won't mention the funeral and the wake as could be here all night in my defence 1) the sun was in my eyes..2) don't put me in-front of the cake trays and expect any left 3) best not to bring me in the first place now I am back and now gearing up for Italy thank goodness normality if not at least I'm known for kayos around here

I have found that using part of an unforgettable number given to me many years ago by HM is very useful for PINs

We could always split all Caz numbers posts and put them on a thread of their own, it'd be like reading a small comedy book
No offence Caz but your escapades are so funny and often have me in stitches

Re: Twitter thread 2013
Tend not to watch too much live TV but use iPlayer a lot.
What has happened to Sundays?Top gear, Call the Midwife and Being Human.
I'd pretty much guessed Being Human had died(sic?) after last week but Top Gear and call The Midwife as well.
Still leaves more time for tryping on here.

That was last week. In true Top Gear style(?) they managed to plant an upside down union jack there.

Re: Twitter thread 2013
my laptop died it kept kicking up the message that "the supply was not a dell " ha yes it is so I ignored it much to my own cost as merrily viewing ebay she died on me so took adaptor to a computer chappie to test it out "all ok " then it must be the laptop then just before I took her down for him to see a dawn of realisation ( don't often have one of those) the warranty!!! oh knowing my luck I will be a day out but never the less phoned Dell and she has 4 years warranty and it was the power supply received the replacement the next day ! phew and we are back up and running amazing..how lost you feel when the computer goes down !! and then you realise how much you rely on it so if she gives me a message again I wont ignore it as she knows best

We had a power cut when we got home this evening, so the gas lamps and our new to us 12v telly (thanks Nick and Viki) came into their own.
