Re: Twitter thread 2013
Thought i would be packing in with the dandy this year,Nancy has a shoulder problem she is stuck with and i have a back problem that i have never been prepared to have investigated we are like old friends had it for over 40 years now,its not erecting the dandy thats a problem its manoeuvring it by hand thats difficult.I have said before we live on a main road and idiot drivers dont give me the time to reverse in past a lamp post on the front of my garden, the winch is slow so we have to push it of the road just into the garden which slopes before i start winching.A similar problem when taking the dandy out it needs pushing across the main road and down a side street to hook up to the car,any way we where talking this morning and i said it was just too much getting the dandy out and putting it away and a smaller one is out of the question after a 6 so was thinking perhaps its time to call it a day.
We also have a caravan in storage which we dont use and being a woman Nancy said get rid of the caravan and put the dandy in storage,so we talked around that idea and came to the conclusion if we did that and then bought a trailer to keep at home we could take the gear we carry on top of the dandy to the storage yard leave the trailer there and then use it to bring the gear home on our return plus we have a trailer to use for other things.
So thats the plan to keep us dandying really pleased i thought of the idea.

Well especially as you don't drink I'll get Nancy a small tipple when we next meet up.
Don't know if I'm getting to be a right sad old git (yes what do I mean getting?) but for all the new additions to the fold we seem to have had a few losses this year.

Dandy ownership is often a step to something else, thats why when we decided to be a dandy focused forum we allowed for past owners to stay with us,even the dandy owners club do that now.

That's the best bit about Dandy's .... you can leave them wet and the inside will stay dry

Re: Twitter thread 2013
Thanks for the nice messages everyone, it means so much
We decided to have a PM on him, and it shows he also had a growth in his stomach, so whether it was this or hes pancreas, or even both that caused all the issues last year still remains a bit of a mystery without spending a small fortune on analysis.
Either way he did have a large Marcel tumour removed in October, had this stomach one, a bad heart murmur and arthritis. He also had a different type of cancer in 2005 and had half hes jaw removed, hes also had two ops to remove foreign bodies - little sod lol, he really was a wonder dog.
Now, what plant is suitable for a Bomff?

What about 'Dog Tooth Violet' "lilac wonder". A bit shy and retiring. Or a Dog Rose,

Snap Dragon Typical Jack Russell.
Thanks for the suggestions Essie, my mum said Dog Wood (Cornus), which is along the same lines. We have a concrete Bomff called Co-Bo, it looks exactly like him.

Re: Twitter thread 2013
It looks like there will be a few more of us at Goodwood this summer but this years camping though free is without EHU.
We also often camp on sites with restricted or no EHU. I put to one of my associates about the idea of him buying a gas fridge.
However as he squeaks when he walks he deferred from this option.
I was looking for something else when I saw this on Monday.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Went to pick it up yesterday. Managed to test it on electric wanted to have a bottle of gas with me but had been delayed so was without gas.
Got it back to a friends unit and tried it on gas. Unable to ignite off piezo electronic ignition but fired up off a match. I'll try to have a look at the igniter but if we're stuck with match ignition so be it at this price.
if after something but you have a limited budget keep a look out on Gumtree loot etc. Unlike eBay the odd bargain does appear.
My parsimonious associate has been informed we don't give a chuff if his summer diet ends up being red wine and tinned food.
