    1991 Desginer Empty 1991 Desginer

Post by Helen Sun 12 Jun 2011, 1:42 pm

Hi we have a 91 Designer in pale blue and white, its fully insulated and has an underfloor heater.
We also have a full awning and a sun-canopy, we love to get out at all times of the year as we are always warm and toasty inside when the heater is on. Our Dandy is pale blue and white and I have re-covered all of the seating in Navy and made some very comfortable cushions to give it a bit of individuality, I also have navy tie-backs to match the seating and some cream velvet curtains. It really is a home from home and perfect for me and my husband and our little shetland sheepdog.

You may notice the extra worktop that we fitted, it is a removable shelf. Information will soon be in the technical section.

they dont make them like that anymore, you have lovely interior in a dandy made before they had financial woes.I think you might be surprised by the difference in fit and finish between our 2005 dandy and yours.

It was showing its age a bit so I recovered everything and made new curtains and tie-backs to match the seating. I added cushions to make it a bit more homely. I know what you mean though I have seen a much younger Dandy and the materials used seemed a little flimsy.

Helen, what a great job you have done.....Im going to have to get cracking!! Our Dandy is a 1991 as well, when I put it up tomorrow will have to post some photos, then you will be able to see the changes we make on it from the start. I want to recover the seating....not as clever as you so will get my Moms help!!

jen once you start you will be surprised at how easy it is i did our old delta and it only took me a saturday with my sisters help and i am not that great with a sewing machine but when it was finished i had awning curtains new seat covers dandy curtains and scatter cushions and matching bedding i think for all the material and stuff it cost under 50 pounds cheers

If you need any advice just ask, Jayne the admiral also customised her Dandy and that looks fantastic too.

I have done mine a couple of times now and it is easier than you would expect, have fun choosing materials and bits and bobs to match Very Happy

You could take a look at this sellers stuff (see other items button) its very reasonable and fire retardant too. Several of us have purchased upholstery material from here.
