I told one chap about the dandy: his comment - He has booked a weeks holiday in mid june in portugal for 4 people in a villa, with pool, £300. flights for 4 people £350 -
I couldn't argue with that.
Well I was going to say that the combination of ferry, fuel and fees must get to over £650.00. I don't think they will have the same adventure as Caz but I'm wondering how you get under £650.00. I would imagine your looking at £130.00 in fuel to get from home to Dover and back.
Guess your not looking at £20+ per night sites. Obviously not just me and Cazz who are a bit on the careful side.
Any chance of a look at the planned budget?
The more I think(a strain as it's rare) the more this sounds like a right old adventure.
Do Wales and England get to qualify as two of the countries? I am struggling to make up 7.
As soon as you have some details do post.
Did you dump the old version and re load the newer Archies Campings? Apparently they have removed a lot of the redundant campsites.
I was almost in tears when I realised Le Havre municipal campsite was no more. First place I camped in Europe and a beautiful site.

We wanna see pictures from every country when you get back, a roving report would be brilliant too.
It's so exciting, I bet part of the enjoyment is the planning of such an adventurous trip

Thats brilliant Cazz
Ours has gone nuts since he started with his meds, he thinks he's a pup again and is into everything and very very giddy . He has lots of energy normally so it's a bit much at the moment, it doesn't matter what time it is he thinks it's playtime ....... roll on next week when he finishes this lot

All that security will cost more than the Dandy. But I know exactly what mean and how you feel.

you need a webcam so you can keep an eye on it from work, in fact all day and on your mobile too plus a blankie to keep it warm cos the garage will be cold and you'll have to leave the radio on in case in gets lonely and scared hahaha

Re: The twitter thread
No your not daft at all Shaun ........... it's the dandy bug, it's got you now
Ours is usually kept in the garage at our house but we even have a security camera on the drive It's not in the garage at the moment but it has a nice car port to keep the rain off and the security camera is watching it all of the time, plus we have sorted the gates out so one always has a large padlock on and can't be opened without the keys.
Saying all of this though the Discovery has been sat in a rented council garage miles away from here for over a year now and is perfectly fine. My dads orange one is sat on his drive with no real security and that's also fine.

Re: The twitter thread
if you are worried you could bolt a tow ball to the garage wall and hitchlock dandy to this, and a wheel clamp.
how you wrap it up against the cold and that draught is up to you. and visiting regularly would set your mind at rest, but, it might sulk for a while and not talk to you...

Here it is Cazz, we collect Sunday but haven't yet sorted storage out so may just site it for a couple of weeks whilst we do.
