My wife (Selkie) uploaded a couple of pics of our dandy dart?4? a few days ago, they should be lying around on this site somewhere, I'm not technical.
We live on the Cumbrian / Durham border miles from civilization.
It will take me a while to find my way round this site but it looks good so far.

thats the best place to be tid i love it up there as well as our dandy we have a cabin up in weardale and spend a few weekends every year there too

Hello, good evening and welcome to the 'friendly forum'. I know you'll like the site. There's nothing not to like.

I must say that as a couple you and your missus have got cracking user names. Are they made up, nicknames or real names? It could be interesting to find out where everyone acquired there forum titles from and, as far as that goes, how people developed the pet names for their Dandys. Come on many of you have them. Certainly the older ones develop some personality and deserve a title (The Dandy's that is!) Ours hasn't got a lot of age and hasn't been given a permanent title yet, except by the owners of our regular CL in Lancashire who, when we're booking, ask if we're coming in the motor home or the 'inflatable'

My Dandy's name is as imaginative as my forum name, we just call it Dandy but it is definitely a female

Ours is called Milo, because he will do milos and miles with us.

And my forum name is very imaginative, not, it's my nick name, my name is Caroline.

Lol Owd lad:- Our user names: Tid is made up and Selkie is a wicked mermaid:-) Our Dandy is called Tarple

I feel guilty now that we've had ours so long without even giving her a name ............... I therefore Christen her Margo, she has a good life and likes her cushions plumped daily

I'll just have a glass of wine by way of a toast to her and to celebrate

Our dandy is called dandy in front of the kids.
there are other names that pop out when trying to free up bolts and take electric tape off

Ours is called Dandy atm, as I'm waiting till we've all been out in her/him to get to know her/him before we do names lol. Doesn't feel right just picking one out the air.

my dandy is called Bob

and my car (also a boy) is called baby

we haven't named either of our dandy's but now i'm thinking i may have to find a name for her i dont have a name but i'm sure she's a her, so thats something at least.
will think about next time we go camping see if i get some divine inspiration
think nick will think i'm mental though as have never named any of my or our cars either

Lol indeed to all the above posts..we are indeed inventive with names for our beloved Dandy's.

Hi Tid and sorry a belated

We go as Mr & Mrs Phoenix on here as that is what we named our Dandy 4.

When we were doing our rebuild somebody said something along the line of "arising from the ashes" and with her orange batwings we thought ah ha the Phoenix has risen.

Loved seeing the replies so far. My forum name 'Owd Lad' is simply an often used Lancashire greeting and will often get tagged on to the end of statements, as in, 'Alreet Owd Lad' or 'There's no 'arm in that Owd Lad'. Just depends where you come from.
Perhaps northerners, by nature, are reluctant to give names to inanimate articles, although my wife has several names for me when she considers I'm inanimate.
