affraid still not packed yet .. 5ft pile to my left ( my clothes) to fit into a rucksack it ain't going to work so back to thinning out Crying or Very sad finished upholstering and new curtains then forgot about the bed sides the bar across so I will do that when we come back , and hats off to those who can quilt by sewing machine as I found out that I can't ! Mad I quilt by hand but being in a rush did one by machine bounce because just had a thought scratch to make a travel blanket I will buy a tea towel (picture one) from every place I go to cut the pictures out and sew them onto my quilt I used to do that years ago but had people write on a peace of material in their language then embroider over the writing to keep it permanent and embroider the flag of the country on it.
affraid phoned the kennels just to check the time to take the dogs down on tues ( the day before) but to my horror I booked them on the day we leave and can't taken them in until 10am we are leaving at 8am Tour De France - Page 2 9639063 if I had a brain I'd be dangerous all calm now my sister will take them but makes me feel gutted for them Tour De France - Page 2 3208163979 mind you I would have made things worse balling my eyes out Crying or Very sad coz leaving them is still hard did think of taking them with me dog passports etc but me dogs and the ferry I would dread to think what would happen Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224 Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224
Tour De France - Page 2 2702329197 got 4 nights booked in Belgium sent an email with all details of the Dandy, us dates as you would in the UK and bless got an email back saying ok that was that Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224 Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224
as for the space saving vacuum bags well spent 2 hrs trying them verses the Aldi's bags that you roll the air out and they win, got the mini vacuum but that takes ages to suck the air out and got arm ache waiting then tried Aldi's bags quick and easy but decided not to use them as will be taking too much Very Happy
just two days to go packing the Dandy on Tues decided not to take the wardrobe and top box because we will be moving around allot...

I love the idea of getting people to write and them embroidering over it I love you the tea towel idea is great too so perhaps you could combine the two for another adventure.

Packing light will make it far easier when moving around ...... don't have that knack or self restraint myself Laughing

Very Happy hi ya i am back best laid plans and reality does not work no matter how well you preempted the trip. my son was very ill on the trip down to Dover which set the mood for him and became home sick and was not happy to tour around so I had 2 options keep going as planned but decided that dragging around an unhappy child will be no holiday for me so not one to throw good money after bad I decided to cut my losses and come home BUT on the up side there is always next year and it their 100yr of the tour so that should be special and now I know what it's like over there all plans for next year start now Tour De France - Page 2 1710857839 Tour De France - Page 2 1710857839

Day 1.. suppose to leave at 8am but now way was I ready walk the dogs, make the sandwiches tidy up and perfection can't be rushed Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224 we left at 9.30am ,long drive this end to the bridge so slow and boring over the bridge motorway Tour De France - Page 2 9639063 I will admit even though motorways are faster ( with out works and ques which we didn't have on the way down) I hate motorways so boring as a passenger and as the trip unfolded with my son getting ill and having to stop on the hard shoulder every 10 mins was scary as lorry's thunder passed but we arrived to a we manicured site Black Horse Farm , bunnys hopping around [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] we pitched up on our over night spot [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
lovely place clean tidy with long stays and over night pitches facilities were great but the only gripe I have is that there were so many notices by the time you have read all the notices you'd forget what you were there for oh yea loo Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224 Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Day2.... the boat trip ( did I ever say I DO NOT LIKE BOATS )my son well but not happy wants to go home... so with knees knocking and my stomach in my throat we drive on affraid legs like jelly we had to climb fights of stairs No was on my hands and knees screaming for oxygen by the time we got to the top deck

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

we were off as the other two were tucking into a fried breakfast No I had a tight hold of the table Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224 but to be honest it was calm seas and felt like a very quick trip only 2hrs and it ran smoothly back into the car and we were off ... hit by a wall of heat sunny sunny must remember what side of the road we have to be on on the first roundabout that you come to there is a sign that gives you instructions on how to go around and that is it you are on your own confused so more motor way to Belgium (as now i find out that my friend loves motor ways pale) find our site for the first 4 nights a municipal site in Hamoir oh and found that on the road DEVIATION means Detour scratch we were told to pitch anywhere we wanted so we chose a lovely spot 15euro a night with electric and all facility's inclusive.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

    view for the awning

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

    what it leads to is

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

lovely place close to the boarders Holland, Germany and Luxembourg missed day one of the tour but we won't go there so day 2 of the stage pitched myself at the side of the road [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I did allot of waiting and will say it was freezing but found it hard to contain my excitement so armed and ready with camera

I'm sorry to hear your plan didn't go according to plan, but like you say it won't be a holiday for you dragging a poorly son about. At least you've been out and about with the 6 now, and know what she's like. Tour De France - Page 2 3498837457

Could you not stay somewhere in her closer to home for the rest of your holiday? See what grief you can cause there? lol!

the break away so soon the pelaton I nearly got ran over by them but when I got back to camp to check my pictures Evil or Very Mad I was so excited that I forgot to press the button
planned to see the start at Vise and I did with backup plan if I miss the pelaton again my son agreed to take the same video with my phone um yep
well i got the pelaton but while screaming and cheering forgot I was filming and got their heads so my sons video was great oh men in lycra Tour De France - Page 2 2197500976

as for the 6 she towed well but found that on left hand bed end has to be taken off and new frame as the metal has twisted and noticed that she had been welded a few times there plus since we re-riveted the side hinge and replaced the gas struts found that the bottom window catch gouged the table when traveling so put a mat down to protect so need to see why . she did well though

Tour De France - Page 2 2161515090 didn't think of that will check on that but my biggest gripe was I spent a fortune trying to change over ferry tickets by the third day of trying I exploded at D.F.D.S not that it was their fault as I had book through the caravan club and forever put on hold so had to pay for another ticket £67 to get back that did not make me happy should have seen me having a strop in the middle of a town sq in France had quite funny looks and given a wide birth Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224 Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224 Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224

ok we went into a pizza place in town that we stayed at to eat in to cheer my son up to my astonishment was greeted by a Rhodesian ridge-back (dog) then chaos ensued as a woman walked in with her little dog the pizza mans dog was only a year old and wanted to play but not that the little dog agreed so we helped out to control the situation..we ate our pizza and about to leave and the pizza man said to my son " if you want with no obligation you can take him out for a walk " affraid does he not know my history I nervously laughed and off we went so the next day my son was keen to get back to take the dog out affraid went and got the dog and the owner said he walks on the left Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224 Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224 Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224 as I disappear off down the high street shouting at my friend " how do you say heal in French!" off I went at a rate of knots dog happy to great everyone and everything managed to use my body weight to stop him before we lunged across a busy road . Rolling Eyes all together and BOW on a strangle hold just to cross over..half way across when he decided that he hadn't said hello to the grain of dirt on the pavement we had just left after doing a full pirouette to the amazement of the onlookers I stated " dog pizza man's Bow " with a chuckle and a ahh now that explains it look and understanding off they went as I get dragged across the road down and embankment I threw myself down to the ground as the river be it shallow was no my Idea of walking the dog so when He stopped to welcome to a blade of grass i handed a the lead over to my friend and watched him disappear off into the distance with my son in hot pursuit so I rested until they came back red faced and puffing away the dog still on full pelt we took the dog back then the owner then tells us the commands to control him Ha well he did stay on the left of one of us at some time.so after that we went for an ice-cream Tour De France - Page 2 2197500976 Delicious and a pack of dogs ran through ..there is no restrictions on dogs in shops..which was a shock.. and the milk is all long life milk ok in coffee but ruins a good cuppa tea Tour De France - Page 2 9639063 did find that food was expensive we shopped in Aldis and lidls for instance and why I noticed but a jar of nuttella chocolate spread Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224 was £4 a jar Tour De France - Page 2 9639063 Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224 Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224 Tour De France - Page 2 3462454224
