I got myself a KOBO at Christmas and have enjoyed reading lots but I miss the paper variety of books sometimes, I'm also running out of stuff to read ...... so what are your favourite books, I have hundreds of the paper variety and the only ones I've read a few time are

    Pillars of Society

    A Family Christmas

    Flowers in the attic

    Petals on the wind

I like light reading but I also really enjoy Val McDermid, her books can sometimes make you cringe but are compulsive reading, I read The Mermaids Singing from front to back over a weekend because I couldn't put it down Shocked

her books that I enjoyed but were a bit gruesome are Killing the Shadows, The wire in the blood and Fever of the bone. The Grave Tattoo was disappointing and I never actually finished it.

Probably the only book(s) that I have read more than once is Lord of the Rings. I also love Terry Pratchett and George RR Martin's Song of Ice and Fire Series aka Game of Thrones

I love reading and have read sooooo many.....although I have never read anything twice.....

Once I have read a book I either take it into the book swap at work or take it to a charity shop. Ben got me a kindle for my birthday last year and I love it! I am just trying to wind down the books I have on my book shelf at the moment.

In line with all the hype, I am really enjoying the 'fifty shades of grey' series at the moment, although its not everyones cup of tea...My tastes are eclectic and I favour no particular genre - just a book that can hold my attention. I really enjoyed the Hunger Games series and can't wait to read the Game of Thrones set. I love Kathy Reichs, Tess Gerritsen, James Patterson....the list is endless.

Conversely - Ben is not into reading at all, unless its non-fiction - then he loves it......is reading a girl thing?

I downloaded 50 shades of grey last night and haven't really had chance to get into it yet as I've only read the first chapter but I've heard a lot about it so hope it lives up to expectations ....... if it does what are the names of the follow on books as I've heard there are a few.

One of my favourite things to do, sadly enough! Is when I know I am going on holiday, I stare at my bookcase for a bit, touching the books, reading the backs and choosing what I will take with me.

I have already chosen those for my weeks holiday in August Embarassed Embarassed
