Good Evening all, for all those going away this weekend the weather looks like its going to be great!

I have just been sorting out all the new "bits" for my dandy, the great thing is it never ends.

Projects to complete next time its erect (excuse the pun) are....

Newly painted and adjustable bed legs with new bed leg supports.

Detachable electric water pump to prevent it being layed on the ground and having to pull it through the pvc.

Privacy curtains for the new awning.

    I cant wait Twitter thread 2013 - Page 9 2618919104

Sounds as though your going to be playing Dandy quite a bit Shaun, let us know how you get on with it ..... the water pump thingy sounds interesting and I love looking at fabrics too.

The weather is beautiful for anyone going away this weekend sunny no doubt by the time we get to go anywhere it'll be raining again Rolling Eyes

Such a lovely day that the rabbits are out playing in the back garden ..... the buggers have eaten the begonias that my mum only planted last week ..... very carefully and in a row of equal spaces ...... she's not going to be pleased, she's away this weekend so we may just go and get some more to replace them as she's going to notice all the leaves have gone What a Face

Some of the keys are sticking on my laptop ..... it's a pain in the backside at times then they seem to release scratch
One feels a bit wobbly compared to how it should feel so I may take it into the shop to be looked at. I bought it from Currys, does anyone know if I'll get it back fast or will I have to wait days ....... I don't think I could be without it days affraid

What model laptop is it Helen?

On many of them, changing a keyboard takes a couple of minutes and they're generally not expensive to buy.

I bought a laptop that advertised 'special extended features' on the keyboard. This turned out to be code for the fact that it had a Norwegian keyboard (it was cheap!). However a brand new UK keyboard was less than £15 on ebay and very easy to fit.

It's a Hp pavilion g6, it's really getting on my nerves now. the keys started sticking a few days ago, I did try to write a post without the h's but it was impossible to find words that would do instead. Twisted Evil then after a lot of effort the h worked but feels sticky and sometimes takes a few goes .... then the u started and now it's quite few of them, I've had it around a year but am going to dig the paperwork out as I took insurance out with it. One of the two larger button/keys the ones you use all the time to click became quite floppy and temperamental a while ago but I didn't want to be without it so have managed, now the keys are doing strange things.

If you have extended cover insurance that's obviously the way to go. If you do need to consider changing it yourself then this video confirms it's a two minute job (and he's sitting on the floor - might be even quicker sitting at a table Smile )

Wow that looks so easy ..... any idea's about the two keys just under the touch pad one's dodgy too?

Saying all that though I've paid for cover and never used it so it may be worth taking it in as there are also two marks that appeared on the screen last year ...... you never know they may sort all the little niggles out in one go!

Nah, just type everything in Word leaving out the missing letters and let the spell checker add them.

Started getting ready for departure, Dandy moved to front of house, lights checked OK (don't want any last minute surprises)Twitter thread 2013 - Page 9 184121345
Bus replaced Dandy in back garden for ease of loading, fridge and awning already loaded, don't know what to do next bounce
I'm really starting a bit early, forecast departure is 1600 tomorrow and we are only staying at Woodhall for two nights so there's not exactly a lot to pack.
Hope to see some of you at around 7 o'clock tomorrow evening with a bit of luck What a Face

I think we will be arriving just before you, I have spent all night being arty and crafty making something a little special for the weekend.

We have been doing some serious thinking and talking, due to family commitments i have just cancelled our week in Norfolk,we just cant be that far away from Nancy's mum,the decision has been made to forget about camping unless its within 30 mins of home.
Its just not possible to get the right commitment from others to allow us to go away and enjoy it,at least the dandy will not deteriorate while its standing no canvas to rot.

That's a shame Mike, I know how you looked forward to Norfolk each year ..... are you lucky enough to have a decent site closer to home? I know it's not the same but at least you'd be out in your Dandy. x
