Stanwix Park Empty Stanwix Park

Post by clydestyle Sun 25 Sep 2011, 8:42 pm

Hi All.
Just back from the above.
Have camped here before in a tent.
This was the first outing in our new 1996 Dandy Designer,
Arrived on a Thursday and the site was very quiet (bliss) nice layout immaculate toilets with baths. Good campers kitchen with hobs and microwaves.
Very clean pool and the entertainment complex was very well maintained.
The reason I went back to Stanwix in September was I knew the weather would be poor and I knew my two girls (11 and 7) would enjoy the kids entertainment- "Foxy Fox" is the name of the main entertainer!
They loved it!!
Pitches were level with water , power etc and are pea gravel.
Avoid the chippy just outside the site- very poor.
Did not put up the awning but have now erected in the garden- much easier than I thought.
Anyway will be back to this site but again probably in the quieter months.
