got an awning
I have finally got an awning to go with my dandy 6,,,it is a 70's one so i need to reproof it when we have a dry day,it is free standing so the excess material/sleeve will tuck nicely under the roof of the danndy.

Lovely pictures, you have a squatter in the awning

Re: got an awning
Your little one looks very pleased with the awining ...... it may not look contemporary enough or might be the wrong colour for the 14 year old but you watch her run into it when your away if it rains.
The roof shape goes very well with a 6

Re: got an awning
I use fabsil but not the spray type as I don't think it's anywhere near as good to use (most blows away in the wind). You can get a large tin from the campshops, I also don't brush it on as I find it takes forever but I use a clean dry sponge to apply. Pour it into a bowl then dip the sponge in and wipe onto whatever it is you want to proof, I've just been in the back garden and done a two man tent in about 10 minutes. You have to leave for up to 6 hours to dry thoroughly.
1 litre will treat 18sq metres of nylon but only 5 sq metres of medium weight canvas. I buy the 2.5 litre tins and use it for all sorts from coats to tents and even nylon windbreaks as it makes them easier to dry off to pack away.

Dandy 4 awning for sale
I have for sale an awning for my 1980 Dandy 4-yes, I am still using it!-it is blue and made up of two sheets with "side" windows which are also the awning roof, plus a grey ground sheet. Fixings are by "pop" studs.
I thought I would ask here first otherwise I will be putting it on eBAY.
