    Awning Zip Empty Awning Zip

Post by sunflowergs Sat 11 May 2013, 8:52 am

Having used the Dandy awning twice we have found the zip to be a bit tight to pull up and down. The doorway is not over stressed it just seems like the zip could do with being oiled before we break it. Does anyone use a lubricant on their zips?

Silicone lubricant is the way to go, will make the zips slide like new and not messy. Pete Smile

We use silicone spray too, works miracles. If you can't get hold of silicone spray any household polish with silicone in will do but personally I prefer the silicone spray, we also use it on the hoop bars too and the roof slides over them so easily.
